Re: ResMed 10 ERROR MSG: Motor has exceeded ...
My 10 lasted for 7 years before that message came up. Pretty much immediately after the message popped up the machine started making loud noises and the humidifier stopped working well. Luckily it only took about a month to get a new one.

Re: can sleep apnea machine cause flatulence problems
Yes! I go through a 10-15 minute period of farting when I wake up and take off my mask. Didn't happen before CPAP.

Re: A Diet for Poor Sleep and Sleep Apnea
I've been eating a ketogenic diet for 16 months and have lost 55 pounds. No grain of any type on this diet so no gluten. My sleep apnea has not gone away one bit. Lots of benefits eating this way, but so far loss of apnea isn't one of them.

Re: Amara View Cushion
I get about 3 months out of an Amara View cushion. I only am allowed one every 3 months, so it works out. I never wash mine though. I mean never, so maybe that's why they last longer.

Re: CPAP Full Face Masks. What's your go to?
My current one is a Resmed F10. I don't like the forehead support either. I used a Amara View for 6 months and really liked it, but my AHI is lower with the Resmed, so I went back to it.

Re: Amara View, good or bad
The Amara View is my favorite FFM due to it not being at the bridge of my nose, but I had to go back to my F10 because the Amara was giving me higher AHI's and I could tell the difference. I dream a lot more when my AHI is under 1, and the Amara usually had me between 2 and 4.

Re: Putting on masks?
You should have no problem with the Resmed F10. You may have problems with the Amara View because of the clips.

Re: Apnea worse with full face
I just discontinued use of my Amara View because it caused me to have higher AHI's than my other masks. I have to use a FFM due to mouth breathing. Before using the Amara, I was using the Resmed F10, but I found the Amara to be more comfortable. I now went back to the F10 after 6 months of Amara. Us...

Re: Mask for a side sleeper?
I'm a side sleeper and used an Amara View for 6 months. I really liked it, and had no problems sleeping on my side with it. I stopped using it though because it caused me to get a higher AHI per night than the Resmed F10, so I went back to the F10. I could feel a world of difference in how I felt wi...

I find that brushing some Bare Minerals loose powder on it in the mornings while doing my makeup works wonders.

Re: Resmed F20 - must be popular!
Cushions on the F20 keep tearing at the top of the nose. Manufacturer is aware. That might be why its such a long wait for them.

Re: Diet questions for CPAP users
Please show me scientific proof of that. I want science to back up what I feel is wrong. I have already googled, so I know you are wrong, but prove it anyway. You need to learn how to Google apparently. https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/alcohol Depends on what type of drinks you are drinking. Hol...

Just a reminder... alcohol is pure carb. That's a complete and total lie. Alcohol has no carbs in it whatsoever. It's just alcohol. Vodka, rum, scotch, gin.....no carbs. Please don't spread misinformation. The mixers that you mix with it has carbs, beer and wine have carbs. Alcohol does not. This i...

Re: Diet questions for CPAP users
1) I eat a ketogenic diet. I aim for 75% fat, 20% protein and 5% carbs. I started this diet on May 31st and have lost 48 pounds since then. 2) I gave up all soda on May 31st as well. I drink plain water and flavored seltzer water (and alcohol a couple times a week.) 3) I try not to eat carbs. I feel...
