This will add LankyLeft and the Aussie guy's video discussions for sure.

Re: Kbh209's CPAP questions and updates
ugh Sunday evening for about a half hour/hour I had to deal with foam blowing into my mouth from my DS2 again. I need to talk to the owner of the local DME provider here in Stockton and ask him to find me a suitable replacement. Grrr. What kind of foam do you mean? And how is it blowing into your m...

I asked Pugsy if she would make it a sticky.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 10:17 pmWhy is this a sticky?
The words keep coming to me:
BAD DOG--NO BISCUIT!
In theory their findings was the conclusion to the saga they started.

Phillips Respironics DS1 Test Results are in
I wanted to share with the community that the test results are in. It's a bit of a read but the short story is the foam from the original Dream Station 1s are safe, per Phillips Respironics. Mind you they do state other agencies may come to different conclusions based off the data. https://www.usa.p...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Phillips Respironics released some information back in December 2022 but is now paying Facebook to share this to mass audiences. Pugsy, any chance this can be added to the front page of this discussion? tinyurl.com/4sbkkzes . They're saying the original foam in the DS1s were completely safe, though ...

Re: Phillips Respironics Dreamwear Problem
just curious, are you using the updated Dreamware mask or recalled? There was a recall due to the magnets affecting the health of those with pace makers, and bone anchored hearing devices.

Re: Can you check my test result to see if I need a CPAP?
I would definitely follow up with your physician to get tested with the CPAP machine next so they can figure out what air pressure your machine will be set to. Once you get your machine sometime after your sleep study, come back here and we'll help you with any questions or concerns.

Re: OT - Insight Into Cranky Forums?
I'm sorry but when I was in my "grumpy bear" moods, I was never productive, ever. That article looks like it was written with the conclusion predating the study. Poppycock, or balderdash I say.

Re: DME Recommendations
I will say this, I had Lincare as my DME when I was first on my CPAP journey. I had a relatively positive experience, at the time the local office was in a nearby city (15 minutes away) and they worked well with me. Only reason I switched DMEs is because after I moved is because I switched to a diff...

Just saw this thread. Just posted separately on receipt of replacement DS1s that appear to be new, not refurbished. Re: DreamStations don't display AHI?
whenever I wake up and turn the DreamStation 2 off, the Home Screen lights up and my AHI is shown. Have your sisters take a photo of the screen when they first turn the machine off and share the link to the image.

Re: Best CPAP backup battery?
While it only lasts 12-14 hours, I am in the process of purchasing this model. It'll do the job for the occasional storm that knocks power out where I live. In most cases the power is only out for a day when there's an outage. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/portable-outlet-ups-battery I would cal...
