Re: Mold in CPAP Humidifier Tank
I'm the perfect picture of what not to do when it comes to cleaning. I can't count the number of times I've let pink slime grow in the tank of my old machine (F&P Icon). The remarkable thing about my using a CPAP machine is how I rarely get bad colds that settle in my nasal passages. If I go to bed...

Re: Airplane mode
Do the software updates happen automatically? Does this have to be configured, or is the machine always in communication with the ResMed mother ship?

Re: Brand New and Terrified
It's natural to be scared. Yes, it would be nice not to have to use a machine to sleep, but the benefits outweigh the hassle. It takes a bit of time and then it's second nature, at least it was to me. The sleep study was miserable, and I have no idea how they decided what pressure to use. I'm pretty...

Re: Brand New and Troubled by last nights Data
I had some trouble with rainout until I switched humidity and temperature to Auto. Since then I've had no problems.

Re: Airplane mode
It is my understanding that airplane mode is meant to keep the machine from sending sleep data over a wireless connection. It shouldn't be affecting air pressure.

Re: Getting very wet...
If you've been using it for a year without problems, and conditions haven't changed, maybe something isn't working right. If you already have a heated hose, maybe it isn't heating. weather conditions change, and if you read the thread, you'll see that the OP doesn't have a heated hose. I did read t...

Re: Help me pick a new DME
I had a good experience with Lincare. I was on vacation when my old machine died. It had been giving signs of trouble. I hurried and found a local doc to write a prescription (I had my sleep study with me), and then went to Lincare because they were also local and wouldn't require shipping. That sam...

Re: Dramatic differences in AHI after returning from vacation
Thanks for all the replies. It's possible that the machine adjusts to altitude, but I do not. It's just amazing to me that my stats are so obviously different from the date of my return. It's all for the better, so I'm not complaining.

Re: Dramatic differences in AHI after returning from vacation
Higher elevations can increase central apnea events. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23429871 Also, I love North Carolina - the food, the shore, the people - maybe that had something to do with it too! Thanks for the link! Elevation is what I suspected the most since it was the biggest overall c...

Re: Dramatic differences in AHI after returning from vacation
LOL I actually weighed less when I got home, though I did eat plenty. I never drink, unless you are talking about water intake, which I think was about the same. I was working remotely for the week before I returned home, which does correspond to significantly higher numbers. It doesn't account for ...
