LSAT,
I did a home sleep study. They only hook you up to the Oximeter and some small nasal canulas to measure breathing. There is no CPAP machine with air blowing down your throat. According to my study I slept one hour which the doctor said was enough to prescribe a CPAP machine.

Re: How Can I sell my almost new ResMed Airsense 10
Thank you all for the pep talk. I guess when you are so tired it is hard to be motivated to continue doing what is making you so tired in the first place. I will make one more try to fall asleep with the cpap on all night.

Re: How Can I sell my almost new ResMed Airsense 10
Hi 49er, Because of the fact I can't find an apnea doctor to prescribe any sleep aids for me I have tried OTC's like Benedryl and allergy meds. They make me drowsy but fail to help me fall asleep with the mask or the nasal pillows (I have tried both). It is not an issue of leaks or anxiety or being ...

Re: How Can I sell my almost new ResMed Airsense 10
Hi 49er, I have actually tried the only two doctors that deal with sleep apnea in my area. Neither will prescribe anything to fall asleep with and I think lying awake for 2 1/2 months "trying" to get used to the cpap is all I can take. My sleep study was a home sleep test and I think my low O2 numbe...

Re: How Can I sell my almost new ResMed Airsense 10
LSAT, I may "need" the cpap machine but I have never fallen asleep with the cpap since I purchased it. I lay there awake for hours, hence the 234 hours on the machine. I am way too tired trying to make it work. Doctor won't prescribe anything so I am at a loss.

How Can I sell my almost new ResMed Airsense 10
I have a gently used ResMed S10 AirSense AutoSet with EPR and Integrated Heated Humidifier - ClimatelineAir Tubing Included that I can not use. I bought it on December 1, 2015 and it has approximately 234 hours on it. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to sell it? I paid over $900 for it new j...

Re: Hyperalert-new to CPAP
Thanks everyone for your input. lol @ Blackspinner, I do like your take on this subject, I guess you battled yourself at one time and won! I will try wearing the blasted thing while I watch tv and on the computer (what a logistical nightmare). Now can I bribe myself with food if I fall asleep?

Re: Hyperalert-new to CPAP
I have edited my first post to include correct sleep study info(brain fog) and my equipment. As for your query about medications kteague, my doctor was so adamant about not prescribing anything when I brought it up before I got my machine. Not sure if I went to another doctor they would prescribe me...

Re: Hyperalert-new to CPAP
The nasal pillows are not bothering me nor is the blowing air. I just can't seem to let myself fall asleep, maybe it is fear of smothering (yes, I know it is irrational with air blowing down my throat). I also can not find any position that is comfortable for more than 5 minutes and I spend so much t...

Hyperalert-new to CPAP
Hi everyone, I am a newbie with a CPAP dilemma. I have had my Airsense 10 Auto Pap machine since December 2 and have yet to be able to fall asleep with it. I started out with a Mirage FX nasal mask but changed to Swift FX nasal pillows a week ago. The nasal pillows seem to be comfortable enough,I am...
