Re: Not doing well

I still go through times for some reason where even the CPAP machine doesn't work for me. I haven't slept in 2 night. Why? Well as I am just on the cusp of falling asleep I get jerked awake by a snorting sound in my nose. I don't feel like I stopped breathing, I don't feel weird at all. Just that sn...

Re: Not doing well

First night since I got my cpap machine in early January that I choked myself awake the few times I almost got to sleep and my insomnia kicked in as well and I haven't slept at all. I am actually afraid to try again as if it continues to happen then it will put me on high anxiety alert again that I ...

Re: Not doing well

Turning on the humidity turns on the heater. The only way to get unheated humidity is to put water in the humidifier and set the humidity level to 0. That is pass over humidity. When you heat the water, the air will pick up more moisture as it passes over the heated water. This will also warm the a...

You need to set your humidity level. A zero is no humidity, and settings of 1 through 8 are the humidity levels, with 8 offering the most humidity.
I was talking about Heated humidification

Re: Not doing well

My machine is the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. I wanted to try out using the heated humidifier function of this unit. Yet there is no settings for turning it on even when I click on the clinical settings options. Is there some other part I need to buy that will trigger those settings to appear? I see...

Re: Not doing well

Thank you, and yes I checked the SD card slot and it is empty. My sleep study tech said I didn't need the card because my machine uploads the data to my health care provider and I can also use the Resmed online Air software which IMO is as limited as the information that the machine itself can give ...

Re: Not doing well

what do you suggest I set the pressure at? Before 3 days ago my event occurrences were between 3-16 at most. Now 3 days in a row in the 20's - 30's. I don't know because I don't know exactly what you are using in terms of settings and the mode of operation. All you mentioned was changing from 9 to ...

Re: Not doing well

I think you may have chosen the wrong machine in your equipment profile. It's showing the AirSense 10 CPAP but you are reporting AHI showing a breakdown into apnea event categories including centrals/CA and the "CPAP" model doesn't do event categories. Look on the face of the machine lower right co...

Re: Not doing well

I added the machine and mask into my profile although my machine humidifier is not heated but that choice isn't there. Anyway my events last night was 30 per hour again. I just raised the pressure from 9 to 10 to see if that helps but this sucks.

Re: Not doing well

Also on the hose at the end that you attach to the mask, does that swivel end come off? I know I am supposed to get a new hose every 3 months but I don't see how this swivel piece comes off to put on the new hose. Or will the new hose come with it already attached?
