Re: Best night yet! (And some curiosities)
I understand about energy, I have been out of work for 3 months for the same things. I have started feeling better after switching to a bipap but the AHI numbers for me always seem useless in respect to how I feel. I can have low numbers and feel like crap but I also take meds that possibly contrib...

Re: Best night yet! (And some curiosities)
I wish when I have low numbers I felt great. I guess for me, it is relative. I am also battling Hashimoto's (and correlating hypothyroidism). Coming from a place where I was apparently getting close to zero sleep at night (AHI 118.7 and sub 75% o2 levels, with mostly all obstructive apnea, consiste...

Best night yet! (And some curiosities)
Last night was great! I fell asleep within 20 minutes, only woke a couple of times to shift positions, and woke up before my alarm clock feeling like I rested well. That never happens! Even my wife asked "who are you?" when I was getting out of bed before her. The reported AHI was 0.6. Everything lo...

Re: My first two nights - some questions
Last night was interesting. I had a terrible time falling asleep. I started off with the Simplus full face mask, as my congestion was still annoying me. In some ways, I actually prefer the ability to breathe through my mouth. I spent a bit more than an hour before I started to drift off. And just as...

Enchanter, I am just not sure what you are looking for here? You make statements, on an open community, then reject any advice given by that community, vehemently. I mean, I am a newbie here. But even I can see you aren't looking for answers. Your problem is very simple actually: It's either you fix...

Re: My first two nights - some questions
Thanks! I did try the P10 nasal pillows first last night. I had to stop and swap it out with the full face. I couldn't breathe enough to get comfortable... it just wasn't happening. I will try upping the pressure settings to range from 8-14 and see how it goes. I did use Sleepyhead, and the majority...

My first two nights - some questions
First some background: DIagnosed OSA with an AHI of 118.7. Lowest O2 was 73%. Followup titration was done using Airfit P10 nasal pillow mask. Did not sleep on my back. Prescribed pressure was 8cm. I purchased the Airsense 10 Autoset new from Craigslist. Decided to set it with APAP settings of Min: 4...

Re: Airsense 10 Autoset from Craigslist
Everything worked out OK. I got a new Airsense 10 Autoset with an Airfit P10 nasal pillow mask, F&P Simplus full face mask, climateline tubing, and 6 replacement filters for $525.00. I am pretty happy with that. Everything was new, sealed in original packaging. I have used it the last 2 nights witho...

Airsense 10 Autoset from Craigslist
For better or worse, my judgement may be flawed. But, I am about to purchase what has been advertised as a NEW (clarified "ZERO" hours) Airsense 10 Autoset CPAP machine. The reason I went the Craigslist route was frustration with local DME, my high deductible insurance, and the ability to get it for...

Newly diagnosed. Any advice?
I am a 33 year old male, overweight, and recently diagnosed with OSA. MY AHI was 118, with O2 saturation levels around 70%. I have put this off for a number of years, and my health has suffered greatly. So, I am hoping I can finally find some relief and get on the right track. I have not gotten my C...
