Cymbalta Causes me to stop Breathing

I searched old posts here and found that this subject was brought up a few years ago but not really addressed. Cymbalta is a medication prescribed for depression, pain and anxiety. I have been on it for 11 years and am currently tapering off very slowly. I developed sleep apnea after being on it for...

Can't use CPAP after surgery.

I had oral surgery in March and had two upper wisdom teeth removed. I discussed with the surgeon before the surgery how it would work ( for my breathing) during the procedure. I couldn't wear my CPAP because it would get in the way. So the surgery went well and I went home on pain meds and slept for...

Re: New to Forum

I have my life back!! After finding that I had a lot of mask leakage and switching to the pillow mask was a huge improvement, and using lanolin, once I found it at Walmart, "sealed the deal"! I also got one of the CPAP pillows so I can lay on my side better without upsetting the mask. The first week...

Re: I slept awesome, it's a miracle

Your post was encouraging and helpful for me. The encouragement to exercise is a great reminder, I know I've gotten weak laying around so much. Also the part about wanting to go back to sleep, it helps to know that others struggle with that, I've literally slept many days away, and it will be good t...

Re: New to Forum

Ok, Ill try the Lanolin, and bump the two numbers up again. Thank you again, this is my whole life right now, my head felt like it was going to pop off today. I get bad migraines with it sometimes. Thankfully I don't need to be working right now, I don't know how I would at this point. Like I said, ...

Re: New to Forum

Sorry!! That was a previous one with similar AHI.

Recently my AHI's have been more around the six range, so this is up again, and I feel terrible. And there is this data crap at the bottom of the screen, IDK how to get rid of it?

Re: What careers/jobs best suited for constantly tired people?

Sleepy I am with you, I've struggled for several years to get to work on time since the sleep apnea started. Its been so hard to concentrate and think clearly. I am embarrassed because this isn't my style. My house is a disaster because if Im not working, I am sleeping, this is real fatigue that may...

Times on data are off, did I break my Cpap?

This morning when I downloaded my cpap sd card, the data indicated that I slept from 11 pm till 12:30 am (1-1/2 hours) In reality, I didnt fall asleep until 4 am and slept until 10 am.(six hours). My cpap was turned on and I felt that the mask was working really well. I have noticed recently in my S...

Re: New to Forum

Ok, I will try the vaseline on the mask. And I am resetting the CPAP numbers tonight. Im very thankful for your good advice/suggestions. My doctor seemed glad to send me home with an AHI of 13, since it had come down from 32 on my sleep study. This forum is invaluable, but you all get that. Now I th...

Re: New to Forum

Sorry this so choppy, this was a foggy day after a bad night, but I am challenged to get help here so maybe tonight will be an improvement. Pugsy, I will bump up the min and max, how much should I increase the max from 11? Ive used Sleepyhead for five or six weeks now, and my AHIs range from 4 to 14...

Re: New to Forum

Great, thanks for the tips, Ill bump the max up. It was originally set up at 7 min and 10 max. Then they gave me a large wisp mask, when I needed a petite. Ive been bumbling along exhausted for a few years so this is improvement, I have days where I feel great actually. So there is hope.
