Re: Preventing your pet from turning off your oxygen concentrator or CPAP machine

Nothing about pets there, but why else would someone need that? Annoying grandchildren? Per the description, slightly buried "This will cover the button to not allow any cats to press the button in the middle of the night!" That's funny. I didn't see that before. Makes more sense with that than wit...

Re: AirCurve 10 ASV humidity settings

There really is no point in using a heated hose for the first six feet only to use a non-heated hose for the second 10 feet. Thank you. I'll look at those other suggestions, but do you think I should take the hose cover off the heated hose? Since it's getting warmer, I could comfortably turn down t...

AirCurve 10 ASV humidity settings

I'm 60, been on CPAP 10 years. 1 year old machine, nasal pillows. I recently started using 2 hoses to get the machine further from me, the slight noise wakes me up, I'm a light sleeper. I use a heated hose for one, and a 10 foot non-heated for the other. I sometimes get "water boarded", have water c...

Re: CPAP data from OSCAR, plus OX data, questions about AirCurve 10 ASV pressure settings for pillows vs full face

Hi Michael, I’m just coming on here to say I have the exact same problem since trying nasal pillows/cushion for about 6 weeks and I also have the same machine. I never got a response back to my post after adjustments so it’s been helpful reading all the help you’re getting from others. I’m sad you’...

Re: Want nasal pillows smaller than ResMed Nuance Pro with small pillows

Several of the Resmed Nasal Pillows masks, including both the P10 and the Swift FX have extra small pillows abailable. But the Liberty mask you are using only seems to have S, M, and L available. Do you need a full face mask? If not, I'd suggest trying out the P10 or the Swift FX with extra small p...

Want nasal pillows smaller than ResMed Nuance Pro with small pillows

Does such a thing exist? I'm not new to CPAP but am new to pillows. I like them but have trouble keeping the holes lined up with my nostrils no matter what I do with the headgear. I tried medium, it's worse for me. (I'm using full pressure now, for anyone who read my posts where I wasn't with pillow...

Re: CPAP data from OSCAR, plus OX data, questions about AirCurve 10 ASV pressure settings for pillows vs full face

Same patient, AHI = 0.0: https://i.imgur.com/GmIDcA8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3FEs0lD.jpg So basically ASVauto bilevel is like a ventilator that breathes for you when you have issues, so it's harder to discern real details from charts? Probably most useful data is that I'm waking up refreshed and no...

Re: CPAP data from OSCAR, plus OX data, questions about AirCurve 10 ASV pressure settings for pillows vs full face

By "ASV AHI is otherwise known as The Big Lie" do you mean it's too simple of a metric on its own? No. ASV will send in breaths whenever it sees an apnea so it's pretty much impossible to have scored apneas or hypopneas. However, that doesn't mean you're not having apneas-- AAMOF, if there's an ASV...

Re: CPAP data from OSCAR, plus OX data, questions about AirCurve 10 ASV pressure settings for pillows vs full face

Y'know, IIWM I would rethink the entire process, starting with: Was your initial sleep study done in a flat bed or a reclining chair? Do you have a Pulmonary Function Test? What exactly is the biggest problem? Asthma? COPD? CHF? OSA? CSA? You might want to look at breath-by-breath to see if events ...

Re: CPAP data from OSCAR, plus OX data, questions about AirCurve 10 ASV pressure settings for pillows vs full face

Thank you! Very detailed. I read it all, but I'm sleepy and going to bed soon. I'll read again later and answer more. But, a few points to address some of it: I've only slept 3 nights with pillows. Once for an hour, once for a few hours, and once for 6. First two I finished out the night with just o...
