Minute Vent / Tidal Volume Question
Hi All, I've been on CPAP therapy for nearly four weeks now and am feely real benefits. I feel clear headed, wake before my 06.30am alarm clock and feel refreshed all day. I was originally reviewing my AHI every morning via SleepyHeads hoping that my AHI would be really low, (psychologically I thoug...

Re: SleepyHeads Results (Different Mask)
Pugsy - I can honestly say no to water retention - I do think it was the Nasal mask. But will see.
To ask a simple question. Is the CPAP therapy working when I wear the DreamWare Mask even if the figures are higher.

Re: SleepyHeads Results (Different Mask)
Hi Bugsy, Thanks again for helping our here. The DreamWare Pillow was brilliant, it felt like I wasn't wearing a mask at all. Real positive for me. I thought I'd slept very well and I think the bags are starting to shrink. I few more nights may be needed before I could make a positive comment. I did...

SleepyHeads Results (Different Mask)
Hi All. Due to waking up for a few days with large bags under my eyes, I changed my mask last night from a Wisp Nasal to DreamWare pillow. Re: Bags under my eyes
Thanks again Pugsy.
I'll try loosening the straps a little tonight and keep my fingers crossed. I have just ordered my first new mask and opted for the DreamWare Nasal mask. As advised by everybody this is going to take me a while to figure out.
Thanks for the help - feeling

Bags under my eyes
Hi All, Another newbie question if I may. I have been using my CPAP machine for 5 nights now, starting from Wednesday last week, using the wisp nasal mask issued via the NHS with my machine. I woke up on Sunday morning with the biggest bags under my eyes you can imagine. My question/s as follows: 1....

Re: Newbie 3rd Night on CPAP.
Hi All, Hopefully everyone is well. After my 3rd night on CPAP machine, I have this morning woken up with really puffy bags under my eyes. I did adjust my straps last night so am assuming my nasal mask was too tight and therefore was pushing my checks upwards.!!. [url] http://i.imgur.com/Eb9x3G2.jpg...

Re: Newbie 2nd Night on APAP.
Thanks again Pugsy, really appreciate the advice. I will, as you advised, continue as I am for a week or so and then post another SleepyHeads screen shot after. I now understand that "prevention is better than cure".
Thanks again
Thanks again

Re: Newbie 2nd Night on APAP.
Thank you Pugsy, thats very reassuring. if I could just ask one question based on your comments. Can I assume that when an event happens the air pressure automatically rises to keep my airway open. If this is correct, and (in time) I adjust the lower level pressure, would this then stop an event fro...

Newbie 2nd Night on APAP.
Hi All, I hope everyone is well. I am new here and just wanted to add my experience after only two nights using my CPAP. I was diagnosed this week with moderate sleep apnea AHI-19. Have this morning downloaded SleepyHead (love it) it details my AHI as 0.98 for my first night and 0.70 for my second. ...

Re: Newbie
Thanks for the quick responses. I did laugh though as I had to look up AHI this morning. Im I right to say that mine on diagnosis was 19 its a number I remember the doctor saying before advising me it was medium? I have also been reviewing various accessories this morning, some I really don't need l...
