Re: Seeking Oral Appliance Recommendations
You can buy them on AliExpress and Amazon cheap, they are a bit big and bulky but may be worth doing to ensure it helps in case you're spending a lot of money on a custom fit one.

Re: In the UK...Pod153’s Big Mild OSA/UARS Adventure - ready to give up
I'm the opposite, I need to stay on my left side otherwise I go downhill. I have UARS too. I have built a device that has a gyroscope and is battery powered. This straps around your chest and will vibrate and wake you if you deviate from the preprogrammed angles. If you're unable to work out how to ...

Confused about different CPAP pressure results
Hi, I've been using a CPAP machine for at least a couple of years now. I believe I have UARS due to my symptoms which I won't get into atm. CPAP has definitely made a positive difference, but I haven't been able to fully get rid of the fatigue, brain fog and poor memory. I'm maybe 50% better. I have...

Re: Huge amounts of pure central apneas (~50 per hour) with high pressure & EPR
PS of 10 is causing your centrals. It's causing you to sort of hyperventilate and blow of too much carbon dioxide. It was the wrong experiment for you to try. That much PS used (unless someone has major respiratory issues) is going to trigger centrals. More IPAP this way is NOT the way to deal with...

Huge amounts of pure central apneas (~50 per hour) with high pressure & EPR
KInda freaking out a bit now.. Have been playing with my machine in attempts to fix what I believe is undiagnosed UARS, as I'm not getting as effective treatment as what I'd like. I set the pressure to 19 and EPAP of 9, so effectively a PS of 10. Woke up after around 4 hours with really sore aeropha...

Re: Mysterious Sleep Apnea or UARS. Unsolved. Please HELP
Have you tried combining CPAP with a CPAP mouthguard? I know a lot of people on this forum aren't the biggest fans of mouthguards but for my 'mild'/probably UARS sleeping issues it's helped a lot when combined with CPAP. It's also worth entering your symptoms at https://fixmyfog.com and see what con...

Please enter your symptoms at https://fixmyfog.com and see what conditions it comes back with. It's a great resource for people struggling with brain fog/fatigue etc.

Re: first time using OSCAR (I have UARS using CPAP)
If you have UARS, I would recommend trialing a sleep apnea mouthguard in combination with CPAP. That's what I use and I feel much better that way. CPAP alone simply doesn't do it for me, neither does a mouthguard on its own. I also force myself to side sleep and wear a cervical collar. Sleep apnea m...

Re: Sleep study results - suspected UARS - please help
I hope others will chime in on this, but it looks to me, msreef, as though you spent almost the whole time during the sleep study on your back. (Apparently you turned on your right side at the very end.) That would mean we don't really know from the study whether you are more likely to have events ...

Re: Sleep study results - suspected UARS - please help
Google "sleep maintenance insomnia" and start reading. Lots of potential culprits and it's not an easy solution to find and implement but waking up and immediately starting to worry about going back to sleep just feeds the insomnia monster. Figuring out the problem and implementing the fix is even ...

Re: Sleep study results - suspected UARS - please help
Are you taking any meds that might incidentally keep you awake? Have you tried a small dose of melatonin before bed? Nope not that I'm aware of, only some natural supplements, but I don't have an issue getting to sleep, its' when I wake up that I get anxious about needing to get back to sleep, and ...

Re: Sleep study results - suspected UARS - please help
Have you made an effort to not sleep on your back - I think it's likely causing most of the hypopneas... of course you'd need to find a way to not do it when asleep as people usually flip from side to back sleeping after a while. Yep I have, I do seem to feel better sleeping on my side. I tried put...

Sleep study results - suspected UARS - please help
Hi all, Can someone please look over my results and let me know if there is any indication that I have UARS. I didnt' sleep very long unfortunately ( 4 - 5 hours). I've been struggling for a long time with fatigue, brain fog, memory loss. I also have a history of teeth grinding, TMJ (comes and goes)...

Re: Please comment on sleep test results. Thankyou
Ok will make sure I'm sleeping on my side.
Regarding the REM sleep info, no I don't believe so. It was a test that was done at home.
