Becky, I have been using CPAP now for 2 years, and am unfortunately one who awakens several times each night, usually because of mouth leaks -- I have no difficulty falling asleep but have yet to sleep through the night -- have tried every available mask. Have just accepted this as the way it is -- ...

Did you have the mask fitted while laying down? Also, turn your machine on before placing the mask on you face. These are suggestions the company wrote me when I contacted them because I am having mask problems. CALL THE COMPANY 800#. They have some RN's there on the phone who are very helpful. I ha...

I can't believe I happened upon this topic tonight! I spent this morning at my doctor's office trying to discover the cause of significant edema of the feet, ankles, and legs to about mid-calf. Had chest xray to rule out congestive heart failure, all imaginable blood work, plus urinalysis to see if ...

I am in NC, and my DME accepts Medicare and my supplemental (State Farm), and I have had no out of pocket thus far. Compliance is documented by read-out from your machine.

Good luck.

CPAP Sleep Aid Pillow ?

Have read one posting of someone purchasing this pillow and having good results, so for the past 2 days I attempted to purchase one too-- Contour Living is not a very customer-friendly company! Finally was able to place the order today--cost is $59.99, but with tax and shipping the grand total is $7...

If you call ResMed at 1-800-424-0737 and ask for a sizing guide for the Quattro, they will be happy to send you one-- I did and they did! I also received a letter from one of their RN's who is a Clinical Patient Advocate, giving some specific suggestions for measuring and sizing the Quattro. Nightin...

I am getting ready to order a CPAP Sleep Aid Pillow based on a recent posting, in hopes it will help eliminate mask leaks. Also, my RT told me when using CPAP I would not have to worry about sleeping on my back because the CPAP would be preventing the apneas--is this not the case? This has now been ...

Thanks for responding so quickly, and Brenda, thanks for posting the website--I have contacted her, and unfortunately she is on vacation until 8/20--looks like one solution for sure!
This has been a frustrating experience for sure, and I am desperate for some uninterrupted, quality sleep.

10 months, and still problems

Can't believe I am the only one experiencing ongoing mask problems. Have tried all available to me, and cannot eliminate leaks. My sleeping is worse than before I was diagnosed, and I am tired all the time. My sleep lab has been great in trying to find me a mask that will allow at least 5 hours unin...

I am reading a new book (2006) "Stop Being Your Symptoms and Start Being Yourself" which addresses social and cultural forces, the profit motive, "medicalizing" nondisease states, media impact, etc., affecting health and health care. I purchased several copies from Amazon.com pretty cheaply. Is writ...

You are most likely depressed, and understandably so. Be sure you are eating properly, staying hydrated, AND exercising (walking will do). Do you have a friend/minister you can talk with? As a last resort, talk with your physician about an antidepressant short-term, but I would try the other things ...

Am awakened just about every 1 1/2 - 2 hrs with mask leaking, and I have tried them all--have to have FF because am a mouth breather. The Clinical Directo...
