Re: Need a chinstrap that doesn't pinch ears
If you're in the US and an Amazon Prime member, the chin strap is only $10.xx from Amazon. They have very good return policies too.

Re: Need a chinstrap that doesn't pinch ears
Yes, there is no ear contact with the respironics. Think of it as wrapping an Ace bandage around your head to keep your mouth shut (it's not wide enough to get to your ear). The there is a support strap that slides up and down a slit in the wrap. You can move that strap above your ear, then bring it...

FYI on Contec Oximeter - USB import with SleepyHead on Mac
I just got a Contec CMS50IW (only importing with USB Cable and not Bluetooth). The driver you need for a Mac and SleepyHead is the Silicon Labs CP2102 VCP (virtual comm port) driver. https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx Hope this saves someone some time. I just gu...

Re: Need a chinstrap that doesn't pinch ears
I just went through several myself. I tried a generic Ruby, a real ruby L and XL. Each one irritated me in some way. Finally tried a Respironics premium chin strap. It was the only one that I was able to leave on all night and it did not irritate me. Also it was the cheapest of the bunch from Amazon.

Re: Resmed AirSense 10 smaller travel bag
I just had to travel since being on CPAP. I purchased a S9 for traveling because I can travel without the Humidifier to save some space. Also I wanted a unit where I can still import data into SleepyHead. I tried it with my S10 for you too, it does fit and close, but you will have a bulge. Here is t...

Aliexpress is going to run a promotion for 11/11/2015. You can play games and earn points for coupons. So I have my $7 off coupon ready for a CMS-50IW. It is $115.xx shipped epacket right now, so on 11/11/2015 I will apply my coupon for it.

Re: converter vs inverter battery setup
My thoughts on this now (since I'm upset with the stupid DRM ResMed put into a $%^& power supply) is to stop giving them money. At this moment in time, I would buy a inverter even though I said they are inefficient from the start. This way I'm not locked into RedMed and more and not giving them any ...

Re: converter vs inverter battery setup
I tried looking up the barrel connector for you and found some hearsay that worries me. Not sure the rule about linking, so I'll leave that out. There is some talk that Resmed does some thing proprietary to their power output, which is why they sell their own DC-DC converter. Side note - that really...

Re: converter vs inverter battery setup
I'm not smart enough to figure out how much more in efficient. But lets put it this way. 1) Convert 12V dc to 110V ac 2) Power Supply from the Resmed then takes 110V AC and converts it back to 24V dc Step up converter is easy. Think of it this way. Hi and low side (which is typical of all transforme...

Re: converter vs inverter battery setup
Makes a lot more sense now. You have a couple of options 1) Inverter - You plug your existing power supply that big wall wart thing into the inverter. Inverter attached a 12V. Probably the least efficient way of doing it but you get all the regulation provided by the power supply. You'll still have ...

Re: converter vs inverter battery setup
Still not making complete sense to me. You want to run your Resmed off batteries? All you need is 24V dc out put then. What is your battery source? Car battery? You going to buy them? There is a property call "series". If you have two 12V batteries and put them in a series, you get 24V output. If th...

Re: converter vs inverter battery setup
Let's back up for a second. Can you describe what you are trying to do rather than what you think you need? In context of what I see so far Inverters - invert.. take DC to AC.. typically take DC output of Solar Panels (48v) to make into 110V AC Converters - in context of what is see here are DC - DC...
