I'm one of those people. I don't go into shock, but I do get hives all over my body. Had no major problems with either shot.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 1:29 pmThere are many people who are allergic to penicillin and have now received COVID vaccinations without problems.

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?
We are two and one-half weeks past the second Moderna shot. My heart felt thanks to all around the world who helped make the vaccines. I'll take any booster the CDC says is available, gladly! Knowing I won't die on a vent (from Covid anyway) is a relief that is hard to articulate. Hugging our 7 year...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?
Second shot onboard yesterday at 10:30AM. So far, very minor side effects. I'm a bit foggy-headed and have very slight muscle aches. Started last night. Symptoms can appear over the 5 or so days following the shot, so we shall see. Got my second shot yesterday also. Headache and muscle aches, but n...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?
Just got permission to make a first shot appointment--less than 24 hours lead time; AND half a week after we already GOT our first shot at the hospital! Idiots! It's a complete mess--blasted bureaucrats can't even communicate amongst themselves. These are computers sending those texts and emails......

Re: Dementia & Memory Problems
I'm not sure where your spouse's seizures fit in. I suppose severe apnea could cause a seizure??? As I mentioned earlier in this thread... my brother-in-law had his first of several seizures that was so bad, he ended up in the hospital. During that stay he had many tests which ultimately led to a d...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?
Taking OTC pain med ications ahead of your shot to try and decrease symptoms is not recommended by the CDC, because it’s not clear how that could affect the vaccine’s effectiveness. The concern is that pre-treating with pain medications that reduce fevers and inflammation (like acetaminophen and ib...

Re: Dementia & Memory Problems
Hi John... very sorry for what you are dealing with. I know it's scary. The first hint my brother-in-law had Dementia was such a severe seizure that it landed him in the hospital. Also, my three closest childhood friends have Dementia/Alz, all in various stages. It's very, very difficult both for th...

Still no effects....not even sore arm and it's pushing midnight here. So glad you all got the vaccine! Your arm might be sore tomorrow, but no big deal. Especially happy for your mom! We get second shot (Modera) next Tuesday. Daughter had second shot last Friday. She's an educator and hopefully wil...
