I will share the information if the sleep clinic is willing to support the experiment.
If I can help others while trying to improve my own health, I will—recognising that N=1 in this data sample!

Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
Have been tested—a some icky place in Scarborough Ontario—and going back there to get optimal CPAP pressure setting. Will be asking if I can do a parallel experiment with nasal dilator so I can compare effectiveness of both methods. Will share the results if they're happy to do trial. Good luck, in...

Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
I have tried a number of nasal dilators and found them to be modestly effective. I plunged for the respifacile about 6 weeks ago. Not fantastic customer service but the product arrived pretty much on time. For me, it works. For my wife, she is delighted. I tend to snore through the mouth and wanted...

No problem, during 2000s I've lived CPAP and sleepless nights and was very easy to irritate.poppi2 wrote:Doc, I hate to see you leave. I have learned new things from your discussions. But yes, we are a very cynical group of sleepy people. Earl

Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
As one who emailed Alexandre not expecting much, I was the recipient of someone who took the time to write a thoughtful and helpful reply. So I am very saddened by all the negative replies he has gotten. I definitely understand the skepticism as I feel the same way when people think that alternativ...

Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
In one of 3 categories of sleep apnea, which is OSA, CPAP works in 100% of cases but is not indispensable for 100%. 7-8% could replace CPAP by Respifacile, and 92-93% must keep absolutely their CPAP. Depends of specific profile of the patient and that's all I'm saying. For goodness sake man, you ju...

Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
We've argued science with you, not made it personal except to speculate about who you are and what your motives are, so for you to say that (above) is nasty. Julie, you are the only one who indeed argued science and had nuanced comments, but just read the last comment of chunkyfrog which was: " Doe...

she? is Respifacile !! If Alexandre is who he says he is, he is not a she. Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
>50% abandon of CPAP Yes, if you don't use CPAP, it won't help you. I would guess that something in the range of 99.9% of respifacile patients will not get successful treatment of sleep apnea with respifacile. My 50% stats of CPAP abandon has source in the n°1 Oxygen and CPAP manufacture in the wor...

Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
The REASONs for airway collapse are far more likely to be due to fatty tissue in the area, or to the tongue falling backward and blocking it (if asleep on your back), or to anatomical design that causes congenital narrowing, etc... The "congenital" is another category and I agree. But if what you i...

Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
A doctorate does not change the real life experience of thousands using C/Apap who have no nasal issues and who understand that it stents open your airway at the throat. Whether or not you have nasal blockage is not the point. It's a problem for many who deal with it in different ways, but clearing...

Re: does respifacile aid breathing?
For example everybody knows CPAP mask's positive pressure closes nasal airways That's just not true, and it represents the major fallacy in you promotion of respifacile for apnea patients. Nasal pillows inflate the nasal airway. If I watch in the mirror as I turn my CPAP on, I can see my nostrils b...
