Re: Insurance vs self pay
IF you intend to pay out of pocket, don't expect a fair price from a DME. And they may not have 11's yet. They don't seem to be in wide circulation in the US right now. I've spoken with several local brick and mortar DME's. Those that have the AS11 in-stock (or on order) specifically state that the...

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
Is there some sort of reason we don't see this on cpap.com yet? Do the DMEs get a 3 month headstart or is the chip shortage complicating things? Cpap.com is a DME. You know what I mean. The kind that take your insurance. Ignoring all that it doesn't answer my question why the online sellers are not...

Re: Did you get your flu vaccine?
I got my flu shot...have every year since I got H1N1 in 2009 and ended up in the hospital with pneumonia/low oxygen sat. I have no idea which vaccine I got, I guess I didn't realize there was a choice. Whatever it was, I had zero side effects other than a sore arm. The flu shot I got in 2020 kicked ...

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 Online Availability?
Did they get your money? Yeah, I paid $999 for it. They've been super responsive, so I'm not worried about it at all. At least I know the unit has been reserved for me and will be shipped out as soon as ResMed gives them the OK. I'm not going to go through insurance and all that BS in order to get ...

ResMed AirSense 11 Online Availability?
Does anyone know when ResMed is going to allow the AirSense 11 to be sold online? I've gone back to my old AS10 since the recall (which has made me realize how crappy Phillips' algorithm is), but the problem is that the motor in my AS10 is very loud sometimes. I don't want to replace it with another...

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
Looks like this is getting closer to a release. Hopefully. A couple years ago I replaced my trusty AirSense 10 because the motor was getting noisy (I probably didn't change filters often enough). I decided to be different and give the DreamStation a try (I'm on a high deductible health plan with HS...

Re: Recommendation on Full Face Mask
I've had very good luck with the Airfit F20, but stay away from the foam version. It is very comfortable and not prone to leaking, but they don't last. Respironics is coming out with a new DreamWear FFM, I was actually able to snag one from another online vendor and it is easily my favorite FFM so f...

Re: Airtouch F20
I've had mine for about a week now, and I've had great success so far. It is way more comfortable for me than the regular silicone cushion, stays in place better, and I have far less leaks/skin irritation. I'm hoping it will last longer than 30 days. If I can get at least 60-90 days out of a cushion...

Re: Airfit F20 Thoughts
The cushions on the F20 are interchangeable. The mask frame will accommodate all size cushions. I tried the F20 in Med.and it was too narrow. My DME is ordering me a LG Cushion to try. Meanwhile, I think I still like my Quattro better. I know. I purchased my mask when it was first released from CPA...

Re: Airfit F20 Thoughts
A problem I had with a different full face mask is when it would do the inhale/exhale thing, unless I had it on very tight, the mask would modulate on my face which would awaken me. Does it move around when adjusted to a comfortable level? Once in awhile (maybe 4 times total) it will slide up and/o...

Re: Anyone here use the new Resmed F20 mask...question for you
I've had mine for about 6 weeks, no issues with it at all. Easily my favorite full face mask. I tried the mask and returned it. It did not rip, but it caused pain/redness on the bridge of my nose, and I did try different cushion sizes. That part slid up and down a bit when laying down, regardless of...

Airfit F20 Thoughts
I've had the new F20 for a little over 6 weeks now, figured I could provide some thoughts/observations on my experience so far for anyone who is considering purchasing this mask. I've been a nasal mask user for over 10 years, and a few months ago I started mysteriously dropping my mouth open on a re...

Re: wisp snap problem?
Whenever I wear my Wisp mask, I have always found it easiest to just disconnect the short tube as chunkyfrog suggested.
That said, it is easier to undo the clips if you push up at the rear of the clip.

Re: My Airsense 10 Autoset leaked water
I have the same problem with keaking. I have ruined two Airsense APAP machines (replaced by supplier) and this is now the third water reservour that has started leaking. And no, I do not overfill (after the first probkems I carefully under fill) and the machine is not on an angle and it is not jost...

Re: Got My Cpap Machine and So Confused, Please Help!
For cleaning my mask, hose and humidifier tank...I use a product called Mask Bright (you can buy it on Amazon or from http://www.MaskBright.com). It has a great orange scent and is easy to use. Just spray it on, let it sit a couple minutes, then rinse off and dry with a microfiber towel (you can buy...
