Re: No respite Despite using CPAP for 20 days
I have got serum cortisol test done. Hope this is the same which you are referring to. No, the serum ferritin level is a completely different test. It is the so-called blood-iron level. It is very important for people with RLS/PLMD to maintain the appropriate level. Iron should not be a problem as ...

Re: No respite Despite using CPAP for 20 days
find out if your problems are 'restless legs' (RLS) or PLMD, an entirely different problem. Also, have your serum ferritin level checked. Opinion varies among doctors, but for people with RLS/PLMD, the level should be in the range of 100 to 275. Thanks for the advise. I have got serum cortisol test...

Re: No respite Despite using CPAP for 20 days
Its Rivotril 0.5mg That is clonazepam. Are you taking it for RLS? What time of day do you take it? That's considered a small dose, but still it could be causing you to feel less than energetic during the day. Clonazepam is not usually the first choice for RLS. Can you see a sleep doctor who is fami...

Re: No respite Despite using CPAP for 20 days
...This awakening were there before using CPAP even... I got the sleep test done to find out the reason for awakening but all I could manage is detecting sleep apnea. Ok. That's good to know. Maybe the awakenings before CPAP were due to the apnea events and will calm down over time. In the meantime...

Do you suggest Bipap over CPAP to overcome this issue. I am 40 years old.spmccord wrote:AFib is why I'm on a BiPap. It has saved my life. Re: Sleep Apnea-Irregular Heartbeat/BP corelation
BP and Pulse rates can change in a matter of seconds. Standing and sitting, left arm or right arm all account for different readings. If anything, CPAP use is good for your heart. By eliminating the apneas, where you stop breathing for short periods of time, you are increasing the oxygen flow to yo...

Re: No respite Despite using CPAP for 20 days
eport also said zero REM sleep & to use CPAP at 9 Pressure. As advised started using CPAP Auto set S9 with auto settings of 4 to 20. If you are using a range of pressures like the 4 to 20 and the machine is making a lot of changes then those pressure changes could possibly be disrupting sleep and t...
