HME with Breas Z2 and P10 mask
When I travel I use my Breas Z2 and a P10 nasal pillow mask. I wonder if the HME device does anything at all. With the P10 I have to attach the HME to the end of the short tube on the mask, which is past the exhalation vents. In videos I've seen online, they all seem to attach the HME directly to th...

Re: Travel machines
I've used my Breas Z2 several times in Europe in the last couple years with no problems. I don't like it as much as my home machine, as the breathing doesn't quite feel the same, but it's not too bad and I get used to it quickly. I had the Z1 with the battery issue and got a discounted replacement a...

Re: 4 month trip to europe next year, looking at travel machines
I just got back from a 3 week trip in Europe, and I brought my Breas Z2 Auto. It's much smaller than my Airsense 10, and I always like to pack light. It doesn't feel as natural breathing as my Airsense, but it's "good enough" in my opinion, and makes it much easier to travel than hauling the case wi...

Re: F&P Nova Micro Nasal Pillow Mask
I just ordered the Nova Micro, as I think it just became available in the US. I've always used the P10 and have been happy with it, but always willing to try something newer and lighter.

Re: bongo - any positive experience?
I got my Bongo thingy, and tried it a couple of nights. It's relatively comfortable to wear I feel like my size is somewhere between the L and XL, but the L felt a little loose and was easier to exhale through probably because air was escaping, so I stuck with XL which seem just a tad too big The fi...

Re: bongo - any positive experience?
Bongo? What the heck is this? I just looked on cpap.com and I still don't know what it is. It's similar to the old discontinued provent which provides EPAP (Expiratory positive airway pressure) therapy. Basically, you breath in naturally but when you exhale some of the valves close to keep pressure...

bongo - any positive experience?
There are a few threads here asking about bongo, but very little posts with people who have actually used it. The question of course is ... does anybody use this as a main therapy or a supplemental when travelling? I have very mild apnea, my AHI during my sleep test almost 10 years ago was 8. But I ...

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
i see you got another one. i was just going to say that i'd be more concerned with run hours. not if you've been using it daily for 8 years, it probably had a good amount of "miles" on it. rough math would be 17.5 k hours at 6 hours a night. i think they rate the machines at 20k hours. maybe a few ...

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
Since it's on sale again (but not as good as the $208 price others got last month) I ordered it late last week and should have it this coming week. I'll use it as my primary and keep my old one as a backup.

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
Your 8 year old machine is not going to last forever. Could last a week, could last another 8. But you need to ask yourself, how dependant are you on using it every night? If it doesn't startup, oh let's say Dec 22, how well are you going to make out without the long Christmas weekend? I have my tr...

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
The Airsense 10 was recently on sale for $399 at cpap.com ... I was debating buying one just to have as a backup. I didn't, as I think my 8+ year old machine is still working fine. Wonder if I should have. I'm cheap, as my high deductible insurance is crap!

Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
My Airsense 10 is about 8 years old now. As far as I know, it's still working fine. I think. I've had no snoring reports from my wife, and my AHI is still low as reported by the machine. As I'm on a high deductible health insurance plan, going through insurance doesn't help me at all unless I meet m...

Re: HDM Z1 CPAP with a Fault 21, anyone know anything about this?
I was able to get a discount on a refurbished Z2 and paid $245 for it, a lot cheaper than brand new. I only use it while travelling, so it gets less than 2 months of use per year, and size was important to me. I've had the Z2 for about a year now and hope it lasts longer than the Z1.

Re: HDM Z1 Have a fault 33 code. Anyone know how to fix it?
I generally don't use my Z1 very often, except when I'm travelling on an airplane where I want to minimize my belongings, or when I'm gone just a few nights. I'll usually pack up my regular CPAP as I find it works better than the Z1, but the Z1 size is really great. I was on a weekend away geocachin...
