Re: F&P Brevida with AirSense 10 machine
Wow I honestly didn’t think of the machine might be a lemon. I’ll lead with that the next time I call the VA. I wore new mask and old machine but honestly just went back to old set up until I get this figured out.

Re: Misc Supplies for sale
Thank you for your comments. If you need Gel Pads by all means shop where you want. If not, tell me, why the comment? Have a very nice New Year. Thanks for looking. Maybe you can buy from me for that price? Or did you just want to sabotage my sale? Not very nice for you to do. Especially since I am ...

Re: Misc Supplies for sale
Most of these items I paid for myself. Thank for your your comments. Maybe sarcastic? Maybe just being not nice? How I roll is not really any part of this sale. I roll very easy and always with a smile. What do you do? R You might want to reconsider that Airfit P10 price at $75 + shipping Available ...

Re: Misc Supplies for sale
Hi Tooter, Thank you for your reply and red highlighted items. New never used, means what it means. I did not sleep in the equipment. Thanks to a very generous health care account and some extra money, I purchased this equipment new, and tried it on, and decided that it did not fit / or it hurt my n...

Re: humidification and asthma
30 years with Asthma. Was very worried like you to start using CPAP. I feel great! Heated hose, Hose cozey, humidifier (purified water ONLY!) on 2. Sleep like a baby. Side effects (Nasal mask) reduction in sinus issues, reduction in allergies (filtered air) and wake up feeling refreshed and better e...

Re: Nasal pillows & mouth breathing
Nasal pillows with chin strap is what I use, and I have no claustrophobia at all. The chin strap applies enough pressure to hold the mouth closed, but you have to train your tongue to stay at the roof of your mouth to block the airway so the pressure does not inflate your cheeks and push through you...

Re: Not Consistant
6 is not going to work for you. What is your rationale for this statement based on the chart he posted for 2/6? Personal opinion that is apnea increased to over 2 when the pressure was reduced. On 2/5 his median pressure was 7.9. So it would appear that if his pressure starts at 6 he is going to sp...

Re: Ammonia smell coming from machine
New to me. Clean everything and make sure there is no issue with the motor on the CPAP machine. Burning smell could be a bearing or wire getting hot, and your husband cant smell it due to the filter on the machine. That is very unusual. Clean first and try it out. If still there, have your husband r...

Re: Not Consistant
Your base pressure must be higher. IF the mask you are using is causing you to be uncomfortable at the higher levels you might need a different mask. 6 is not going to work for you. I was at 6 myself when I started and now I am at 9 minimum. And even at 9 there are some nights that my AHI goes over ...

Re: Mouth Popping Open (at the end of my rope)
Seems to appear to be a nice solution, BUT, and there is always a but, If you have issues with the nasal pillows (for example you start to get congested at night) or you lose power, you will try and breath through your mouth and until you wake up, suffocate. One way valve will allow you to breath in...

Re: Machine breaking down
The start up pressure is 6 and your high pressure is 10. What you may be hearing is your pressure ramp up, you also might be in a Apnea event which is causing you to rise up from sleep into a light sleep, and then the noise of the ramp up pressure is waking you up? Just my 2 cents. It happened to me...

Re: Airplane mode
Palerider said "just like a cellphone". we all know what airplane mode does to a cellphone. I think the OP could have figured that out as well. for when you're on an airplane, just like a cell phone. The question was,"What is airplane mode," and your respose was, "for when you're on an airplaine." H...
