Re: First night on CPAP with some interesting results....

if you compare, with cpap, and when O2 is good, your heart rate is stable and slow. without cpap, your heart rate variation is bigger, suggesting you might have apea episode. the fact that your O2 dropped a lot suggest that: after a good few hours CPAP treatment, your body feels it does not need so ...

It appears that if I breath strong and deep, my exhale will flip up the valve, causing it block the air going out, and exhaled air will go into the tube instead, and my next in...

any long term side effect of sleeping on side?

I am a supine sleeper since I ever remember things, but what would be the long term negative effects of sleeping on sides? from what I researched, only stomach sleep is bad, supine or side is OK, but is really there any research into this? or data supporting? I could not reach a conclusive answer fr...

almost killed myself with full face mask

the other day, I put full face mask on without turning on the machine, thinking that I can leave it for now and turn on the machine when I became really sleepy. I forgot how long I lying in bed and all in a sudden I felt dizzy, I immediately remove the mask, and looked that oximeter, 56% oxygen satur...

Re: my CPAP and surgery story (MMA)

sventory: please prepare at least 20+ questions before you decide go with surgery, and if you cannot come up with 20+ questions, maybe surgery can be delayed for a later date. I see you already asking lots of questions. some people would do incremental surgery: first oral appliance, then UPPP, then ...

Re: my CPAP and surgery story (MMA)

I was hoping to get rid of CPAP even CPAP works great for me. I think due to my personality, I would chose surgery. but many people may not chose so. my airway was about 9mm before surgery I think, I did not measure the airway after surgery but appears to be a lot wider from x-ray. My problem is tha...

my CPAP and surgery story (MMA)

apologize first since English is not my mother tongue. I started snoring since 2001 ( I was aged 30 by then ), and in the year 2009, I started waking up at 2AM, 3AM with heart beat to 160, and as soon as I woke up, heart beat back to normal. I struggled with my stupid cardiologist for 2 years ( I ev...
