Re: DreamWear mask

I have happily used the DreamWear mask since it first came out. I used the medium frame that came with the fit pack ok, but asked for a small frame and like it much better. Snug seems to be the answer with this mask. The strap slips up a bit sometimes, but if I briefly awaken to fix it, it is no big...

Re: Loving the DreamWear except for serious hair matting issue!

Yeah, my hair is a mess most mornings, too. Doesn't bother me, I usually jump in the shower early on, anyway. Hope you find a cap that works for you.

Re: My review of the Respironics Dreamwear!

Nice review, CPAPguy. I have been using the Dreamwear for more than 3 months now, and still really like it. I have the hose suspended on the headboard of the bed, so don't notice it or feel the need for a short hose. Am also still using my original frame and nosepiece, no leak issues yet unless it n...

Re: PROPOSAL FOR ALL SEASONED MEMBERS:

This board has been a big help to me in learning and adjusting to use CPAP faithfully. Thank you to everyone who writes helpfully. We do all need to police ourselves and do our best not to offend others. Some days our skins are thicker or thinner than others, possibly due to whether or not we slept ...

Re: Restless sleep with a CPAP

I've been using CPAP almost 4 months now, and after the initial getting-used-to-it phase, my Fitbit shows that I'm rarely restless at night. Prior to CPAP, the Fitbit graph was terrible. Now I rarely, rarely have to get up at night or even wake up. Love it! Now if I could consistently get my AHI dow...

Re: ain't ded

Love the humor, PR, and so happy you're back. Note to self: post a "keep yer mitts off my CPAP" if going to the hospital (aka the Big House). I know, I know, it's not a prison, but.....

Happy New Year, and hope every day gets better for you and yours!

Re: Packing CPAP for travel

I was required to take it out one time at PDX when I didn't get the usual Pre-Check from TSA... That was a pain. I now put it in a plastic bag in the carry case and the mask in a zip close bag to keep their paws off it. As long as they can see it, the TSA is cool. They see many of them every day, no...

Re: Vegetarian Diets More Harmful to Environment

This study must have been funded by the meat industry. It just doesn't make sense to this vegetarian. My pecan trees give us a lot of food, put lots of oxygen into the air and don't need much water....

Re: Packing CPAP for travel

As for privacy, I never noticed anyone's CPAP being carried on until I started doing so myself. Now I see CPAPs a lot when I travel, and I don't care about them, nor they me. YMMV. I'm skittish enough about being stuck somewhere without the CPAP that even when I'm just going to be in another state f...

From one new user (2 months) to another - yes, you will get used to it. I now look forward to bedtime like never before, and I don't wake up with those horrible headaches.

Congratulations on taking the plunge and doing something good for you, your family, and your job!

Re: CPAP on Overnight Flight?

I sprung for one of the tiny machines. I used it when I had the luxury of a lie-flat seat, it works upside down or whatever with the multi-night battery. The flights were long, across the Pacific. As the reviews said, the humidifier for this machine is heavy and bulky, so it went in the luggage for ...

Re: Dream Wear Mask - My opinion

I have used the Dream Wear mask for 3 nights and I love it. Probably could use the small headgear size, but the medium with the small cushion works well. It allows me to toss and turn without waking up to readjust for leaks, I hardly know it is on. I have used the nasal pillows and they make my nose...
