Is it possible to get a sore throat after using CPAP for some time because of the snoring and conditioning to having a CPAP keep the airway open?

Wouldn't people wake up though from mouth leaks? I know when I have my mask on and I open my mouth, I sound like a damn blow dryer. I don't know how someone can sleep with a mouth leak especially with the confusion of inhaling through the hose and venting out the mouth.
