Re: Phillips Resperonics System One ASV machine SD card

Thank you for your reply. No, I don't know how to check. I only have a chromebook which you can't install software on. I don't know how to check it. That is good if it overwrites the card as long as it doesn't get corrupted. I could buy a new one it looks like on that website. I just don't want to s...

Phillips Resperonics System One ASV machine SD card

How will I know when to change the SD memory card in my ASV machine? I have used it for 7 years with the original 2GB memory card. I am wondering how much room is left on the card. It does not have wi fi so the only way my MD knows I am using my ASV is downloading the data. I do not have a lap top t...

Re: Medicare DME self pay

I would want to buy it directly from the DME to get the warranty and have them set it up with the prescribed settings etc.
I can see buying a cpap machine from an online vendor but not an ASV machine.

Medicare DME self pay

I will be retiring soon. I do not need an new asv machine at this time. However, in planning my retirement I discovered that my MD may not have done all the required documentation when my initial sleep studies were done to comply with Medicare rules when I eventually need a new machine. I just found...

Travel bag for ASV

My trip is coming up quickly and I cannot find a carry on bag that is the correct size and adequately protects my ASV machine. The rolling kind has a long metal handle with the hard metal bars inside the carry on bag where the machine would rest against it and is not quite deep enough. I have a Lond...

Re: Medigap

This is an interesting topic as I have to decide whether I want Kaiser or Medigap Supplement and if so which Medigap plan .

If your surgery is in hospital, does the $2200 include the $1360 Part A deductible?

Re: Medigap

I had two sleep studies. One showed 36 ahi. 25 from csa and 11 osa. I think it showed I stopped breathing like 13 minutes an hour. The 2nd study was with the ASV machine which showed awesome improvement. So I never was tested on regular cpap or failed regular cpap. I did have the required follow up ...

Medigap

This is a theoretical question. I am almost 69 and going to retire at the end of this year and planning to get a Medigap plan when I start Part B Medicare. If I were currently paying 20% for rental for my asv machine to a DME now under my current employer health insurance, would Medigap take over the...

Re: Europe travel plug adapter

I am reading a lot about this topic and most people advise taking an extension cord because hotels in Europe have very few electrical outlets and they are potentially not near the beds. So now I am researching how to use an extension cord rated for US 120 v in the UK 220 v outlet. It does not look p...

Re: Europe travel plug adapter

Thanks to all of you for the excellent information.

I had not thought of the cord idea. Great to see the px of the exact shape of the adapters required.

Those videos were incredible. I would never have realized that those multi adapters were death devices.

Europe travel plug adapter

Hi, I have a Phillips Respironic System One Bi pap machine and will take it with me on my first ever trip to Europe next month. I need to get an electric plug adapter for the UK and Switzerland. I have read about many products on amazon etc and there are always a few reviewers who say the adapter sp...

Hello, I have central sleep apnea and use/own a Phillips Respironics System One 960 machine that is about 3 years old. I am going to retire at the end of this year and am trying to choose what type of medicare to get. I have the option of Kaiser through my union or can go outside and choose somethin...

Traveling with ASV machine

I have an asv machine for central sleep apnea I want to travel but do not want my asv machine to be damaged, lost or stolen on vacation leaving the machine in a hotel room or in the trunk of a car in the summer heat. I also do not trust the TSA not to damage the machine inspecting it. Is it possible...
