Re: Ever Too Late?
While I am much younger than you (26), I have a similar AHI (34), but my desats got much lower than your's (69%). And while I still have not felt the full benefits of CPAP yet I believe, I will say this: Listen to the people on this forum. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Sleep Apn...

Re: Vibratory snore scores on Sleepyhead
The "By Pressure" graph is useless...as is the AHI graph. What is useful to see in terms of graphs on the right the top Events graph the Flow rate graph the regular pressure graph when using apap mode the leak graph on the left side hide the calendar and pie chart on the daily detailed report...tha...

Re: Vibratory snore scores on Sleepyhead
The number in parentheses next to snores on the events tab is NOT snore duration. We don't know what it reflects but it is some sort of marker. Respironics machines do not record snore duration at all. The number in parentheses next to the other events..OA, CA, hyponea are a close approximation but...

Vibratory snore scores on Sleepyhead
I seem to have a pretty good grasp of sleepyhead now, as in I can interpret all the data and it makes sense to me. My AHI has been excellent for quite some time, I have never had a major leak and my leak rate is very low most of the time, if any at all. I am having very few hypopneas/apneas, and if ...

Re: PR system one pressure adjustment
By the way Bigsherm, your warnings and advice are welcome; it's just, I've been doing this for many years and have self-adjusted my pressure in the past; plus I use Encore basic (not much admired but it seems to suit my purposes) to track my results. And also Pugsy suggested this for an issue that ...

Re: PR system one pressure adjustment
thanks guys; bigsherm, that worked unless I somehow managed to mess something up. Great, I'm at 8.5 min, up from 8. We'll see! May go to 9 if that helps--I had it at 9 on my old machine but it's pressure readings were off and it's hard to tell what the pressure really was. Thanks again! --jeff Cool...

Re: PR system one pressure adjustment
Is it System one Pro with C-flex+? If so, I have the same machine, and I don't know if there is a difference in the menu functioning between the regular system one and the pro version. Its very simple to do. Turn your knob until it is over setup, and then press down on your knob (as if you were turn...

Re: Need device for cleaning stained vents on Airfit Pro 10 mask
I have a spare short hose/frame for the P10 that you can just have. Brand new...I will pirate it out of a complete package that I had set aside for a spare. If you could reimburse postage I would appreciate it. I send out quite a bit of stuff and it kinda adds up. $6 USPS Priority. I do have PayPal...

Re: Unusual Sleep Arousal
I have been an APAP user for about 3 years now. I download and analyse my data in Sleepyhead on a regular basis, and I have a CMS50E Oximeter to record and monitor oxygen and pulse level. By and large, my data looks good. AHI always under 2, leak and respiratory data looks good. I have a full face ...

Re: Need device for cleaning stained vents on Airfit Pro 10 mask
I think what he needs is the frame with the short hose because the vents are on the frame, and maybe a pillow. I did see the frame on ebay for $33.99. Oh wow I can get the frame that cheap? I may be able to do that than, just kinda tight on money now due to school getting ready to start back up and...

Re: Need device for cleaning stained vents on Airfit Pro 10 mask
I don't have an extra frame but if a small or a large pillow will help you pm me your address and I will send it to you. Thank you very much for your offer, it really means a lot to me, but I still have the small and large ones it came with, and I think the medium pillow itself is fine. But i reall...

Need device for cleaning stained vents on Airfit Pro 10 mask
As some of you my already know, I had an issue where my fine-white filter became completely black overnight, and the vents on my mask (Resmed Airfit Pro 10) have developed a grey discoloration, which I would assume is from whatever substance the leaked through my suddenly filthy filter. I will attac...

Re: Black hypo-allergenic filter and vent mesh on mask
I am not so sure that the problem is internal...if it was internal then the white filter shouldn't have turned black...something got sucked in to cause that. I think it was external...but I can't swear to it. Yea thats what I figured, wouldn't make sense for it to be an internal issue and have the ...

Re: Black hypo-allergenic filter and vent mesh on mask
That is the correct way to place the filters. I mention the candle thing because carbon in candle burning can go all over the place even if not burning in the bedroom but one candle is unlikely to produce that much carbon. I would watch the filter carefully. I am out of ideas. You covered what I wo...

Re: Black hypo-allergenic filter and vent mesh on mask
Do you wash the black foam filter when you change the white filter? How old is the black foam filter? Do you have a spare foam filter to swap out? Has the heating system in your house changed...furnace just now being used? Wood stove? Fireplace? Do you burn candles in your home..especially near bed...
