Re: Just diagnosed looking for tips before going to DME
the doctor didn't say anything about supplemental O2, is that something I should call the office and ask? no, it's not. don't worry about it at all... if you need it, your doctor will let you know. the vast majority of people don't need extra oxygen once they've gotten their apnea taken care of by ...

Thought I'd been doing fine; doc disagrees. Help!
I'm pretty impressed with your doctor: 1. He looked at your data 2. He ordered further testing 3. He has cause for concern and he recognizes it 4. He made plans to investigate further. I'll bet your follow-up with your former doctor was something along the lines of "Are you using the machine? How d...

Re: Anyone have experience with cruising on Princess Lines?
Thanks everyone for your input - I will be in touch with them to make sure everything goes smoothly. I'm looking forward to the experience. I too have a handicapped room as I'm now mobility impaired. I'll also have to ask them how shore excursions work with a rollator. Not too well in the sand, I e...

Re: Airfit P10 headgear tips
Hello, On my doctors recommendation, I decided to try out the Airfit P10 with the thought that the strong exhaust (for lack of a better word) from the FX nasal pillows might be disturbing my sleep and causing a slight elevation on the AHI. Doc thinks an AHI value of 2-3 is in the noise. However, I ...

Re: Pros and Cons of Using CPAP
A little off topic, but it is interesting that the same can be said for smoking. I have only ever known one person to die from lung cancer, and that was at an old age. I know a lot of people who's live's have been made hell from COPD. I smoked when I was younger. Never got COPD (thank God) but when...

Are you noncompliant because you're not going to bed? Or because you're sleeping without the machine? If sleeping without the machine, why are you doing that?

Re: Running out of time.
Doctors who are "in network" frequently collude with insurers to delay billing until after January 1st. Time to go camp out at the sleep doc's office until they do their job for YOU.

Are you dizzy at all? The air pressure could be affecting your ears. I have occasional vertigo (which causes nausea) that originates in my inner ear.

Re: Resupply "Waste"
The dirty little secret here is that the masks and seals cost so little to make, it's not worth it to the DME to customize your order.

You have the right to opt out. However if an employer plan is available to you (no matter how shitty), you can't get Obamacare.Cardsfan wrote:Your employer can force you to buy their insurance? How is that even possible? Automatic payroll deduction?
