Re: Titration two nights ago - now Eyes Issue
That's a good point you're making about a possible allergy. The mask was brand new at the lab. I did not clean it last night before using it the second time. I did clean it this morning for tonight's use. I notice I'm still groggy/light headed since waking this morning at 7:30 a.m. EST...three hours...

Titration two nights ago - now Eyes Issue
Hi All...I had a titration sleep study done two nights ago and will not have the results for a while. In the meantime, the lab did not have the kind of mask I've been using since day one (Airfit) and suggested I try the Philips DreamWear full face mask. I did and loved it throughout the night. When ...

Suggestions for abdomen pressure and dizziness in morning
Hi All, I need your advice. Little over a year ago I reduced the pressure setting on my machine to 7.5 and turned on the EPR to 3 to see if this would help with bloating and lightheadedness that I have each morning lasting to noon. While the reduction in pressure and using EPR for the first time has...

C02 Blood levels increasing
Hi All...just had a physical and blood tests show C02 flagged as high - 33. I looked over the past two tests also taken in 2017 and see that it has been gradually increasing. I wonder if it is my CPAP therapy doing this. When I was tested for sleep apnea a couple of years ago the 'script called for ...

Cpap hose ... Necessary to wash if not using humidifier?
Just wondering if it is necessary to wash the CPAP hose if you are not using the humidifier. I don't ever use the humidifier... The chamber is connected to the machine, but the humidifier is turned off. I have been every couple of weeks or so just running hot water through the hose and letting it dr...

Best Wedge Pillow?
Hi All...just got home from having an endoscopy and have had all the other belly tests in the last month...ct scan, etc. - all is well, but my problem of distended hard stomach has been determined to be swallowing air from my cpap machine - and I'm at a low pressure of 7.8 as it is. I was wondering ...

Re: Humidifier/Water Chamber
Yes, I removed the water and turned off the humidifier. I thought I might not have to clean daily - but wanted to be sure. Thanks!

Humidifier/Water Chamber
Is it essential to clean the humidifier chamber if you do NOT use the humidifier function? I recently stopped using it because of consistent chest cough, and not using it seems to work on reducing my coughing. But, I'm not sure if I should still continue to rinse out the chamber with distilled water...

Re: Correlation Mask Type and Pressure Settings and aerophagia
Pugsy - The mask question wasn't asked clearly. I was wondering if pressure settings would different based on a full face mask or nose mask. As I mentioned, the study had me using a nose mask that I later realized was completely wrong for me because of my mouth opening during REM. Just thought maybe...

Auto Pap and weight gain
As mentioned in my previous post, I have been using apap since last August. Unfortunately, I am one of those few who have gained much weight - rather than lose - during this time period - 10 to 15 pounds. While I have not increased my eating or reduced physical activity, the pounds keep appearing. I...

Correlation Mask Type and Pressure Settings and aerophagia
It will be one year this August I have been using apap fulltime. It has been a struggle - like with most of us our first year. There have been a few annoying issues during this time, but one in particular is aerophagia. When I was tested, a nose mask was used and I didn't have bloating the next morn...
