Hypoxia Induced Osteoarthritis?
Hello fellow CPAPers! I recently had a titration study done, and although my BIBAP machine says my sleep apnea is under control with less than 1 event per hour, my o2 level dipped down to 84 during the study. So I was put on supplemental 02 at 2L. When I last did the titration study 5 years ago, thi...

Re: Diagnosed with Hypoxia, Want to Buy Oxygen Concentrator
I also have a question about oxygen concentrators too. So I searched here and found this thread. While buying my new CPAP on the Second Wind CPAP store, I also found that they have this product that pumps oxygen into you, to make sure you aren't oxygen deprived. Is this the same as hyperbaric oxyge...

Re: Diagnosed with Hypoxia, Want to Buy Oxygen Concentrator
Over time he adjusted until it only shows less than 1 event per hour. So from that perspective, it has been optimized. Among experienced members, it is de rigeur to optimize our own therapy. The sleep lab only has one night to do the titration. You may sleep very differently in the sleep lab as com...

Re: Diagnosed with Hypoxia, Want to Buy Oxygen Concentrator
I highly recommend the Everflo Q; it is quieter, smaller, and lighter than the competitors. Last December I picked up a new Everflo Q from US Oxygen Sales for $595 shipping included. They make you sign up for email to get prices which is obnoxious, but their service & delivery were fast and efficie...

Re: Diagnosed with Hypoxia, Want to Buy Oxygen Concentrator
I tried a concentrator a few years ago even though at that time I had not been diagnosed needing it. It didn't feel any better using it I don't feel sick What IS the root cause of your hypoxia? Low blood-ox levels at night could just mean your CPAP therapy has not been optimized. I use a BIPAP mach...

Re: Diagnosed with Hypoxia, Want to Buy Oxygen Concentrator
Did they discover WHY you desaturate at night? And why you have lower than normal (not dangerous, just lower than normal) oxygen levels during the day? Great question! What led up to this is, I had just finished push mowing our lawn, and then I got the hedge trimmers out and was running them. Next ...

Re: Diagnosed with Hypoxia, Want to Buy Oxygen Concentrator
Unless you know the root cause of your respiratory issue, you might also get a covid test if you haven't already... apoxia is a symptom, and it is sometimes the only symptom. Good thought, but I don't feel sick, and I give blood every other month and they always test it. The results show I don't ha...

Re: Diagnosed with Hypoxia, Want to Buy Oxygen Concentrator
I’m looking to buy it instead of paying the insurance monthly fees, and then billing my insurance an outrageous amount. Before you do anything (!), talk to your insurance company about your benefits and your part of the cost. It may not be what you are thinking. DMEs bill a ridiculously high amount...

Diagnosed with Hypoxia, Want to Buy Oxygen Concentrator
I recently did a new titration study, and I’ve been on BIPAP for 5 years. I use the machine religiously every night. The test showed that my O2 level was dropping to 84 at night, and only 93 during the day. so my doctor is adding an oxygen concentrator to my BIPAP Machine. I’m looking to buy it inst...

Re: FEELING EXHAUSTED AFTER 8 HOURS OF CPAP
I believe she's talking about the score like on a Resmed machine where you want to score 100. Every mask off, leak, etc drops the score below 100.

What is the highest rated pressure CPAP machine?
I'm in need of the highest I can find for a project I'm working on (not for CPAP), so I need to know what used machine I should look for. Is 25 psi the highest? CPAP machines are the quietest I can find for what I'm trying to do.
Greatly appreciate any insight you can share.
Thanks!

Re: Newby Question - Titration test last night, Sucked!
Thanks. Have no idea either, but that was my first night with this mask, it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few nights. Wow, so that's what the data coming out of Sleepyhead or Rescan looks like? That's great. I wish the Rescan was available on the Mac (I realize I could run Wi...

Re: Newby Question - Titration test last night, Sucked!
Good insight, thank you!
The only reason I was honing in on the leaks is that is the weakest area of my score.
What was also better for me was how much quieter the ESON mask is than the WISP. Amazingly better for me.

Re: Newby Question - Titration test last night, Sucked!
My doctor's dept manager sent me a pdf file of a report that he downloaded. The machine I have has a wireless connection that sends the overnight results to a database somewhere that he can log in to and view.
I'll check out imgur, thanks!
