Re: Frequent Night time urination.....UPDATE!!!

So we made pressure adjustments and it seems dad’s machine is bouncing off the rev limiter at 20. His AHI is down from the 40’s to 7-10 range and nighttime urination is half or less what it was before....what do people do that need more than 20” H2o

Re: Frequent Night time urination.....UPDATE!!!

Leaks are better, we changed masks.....AHI is still awful. He is really frustrated and I am trying to keep him focused on sticking to it

Re: Frequent Night time urination.....UPDATE!!!

My first thoughts was the 4-20 was way too much swing. I used the mask fit feature and tightened his mask till it stopped leaking. I think it may have been pulled tighter since then as he says its real tight. Too tight can cause leaks as well.

Re: Frequent Night time urination.....UPDATE!!!

I hope this is usable, it is a phone screenshot....the AHI were off the chart. His sleep study was 14.1ahi this shows 22. This is his 4th night (I believe) on the pap. I don’t want him to get discouraged or aggravated and give up. Cpap saved my life (with Pugsy and others here being a large portion ...

Re: Frequent Night time urination.....and apnea

So dad has had his auto for a week. Night time urination has been significantly reduced. He has a resmed S-10 with the resmed airfit F30 full face mask. He says he wakes up in the middle of the night when he is breathing though his mouth with large amounts of rushing air. He said when he breathes th...

Re: Frequent Night time urination.....and apnea

We tried all of the standard prostate precsciption meds with no effect. The next step with urology is VERY invasive and uncomfortable

Re: Frequent Night time urination.....and apnea

Update, dad got the “take home” sleep study. It shows an ahi of 14.1. Which is considered mild. Could this still cause the night time urination issues?

Re: Frequent Night time urination.....and apnea

He does not diabetes and is on no meddication...other than the various urology meds he tried. None helped at all. Now they are wanting to do a fairly unpleasant bladder testing series....which is why I thought about apnea.

Frequent Night time urination.....UPDATE!!!

Been a while since I posted here....Pugsy and crew got me squared away years ago, my Ahi’s run in the .3-.5 range....lost 60lbs, all is well. My father has been having issues waking up 6+time a night to urinate...by the end of the night it amounts to about 2 quarts. We took him to the urologist who ...

Cpap for snoring....not apnea

Someone I know has a snoring problem....no cessation of breathing just very loud (ie can hear through multiple walls even with ear plugs in) can an auto machine be used successfully to help? I have a spare auto....it might also record if there are other issues such as apnea or hypopnea..... Individu...

Re: Mouth Breather Can't Fix It - (Anyone use Dreamwear?)

I had this problem, did the mouth taping, tried the chin straps, cervical collar, you name it. I finally got an amaraview full face mask and it worked, didn't leak and my therapy is where it needs to be .7 or so a night.

Re: A new definition for "medical necessity"

I was stunned at the level of fraud involved with sleep medicine. Having a sleep Dr sell equipment at 3x the price I could buy it elsewhere for outdated and older equipment....and the part I really find interesting is the insurance companies have no problem with it.

Re: Active Full Face Mask

Amaraview is what works for me. I had mouth leak problems so I needed full face. I tried several they all leaked at the bridge of my nose into my eyes. Amaraview is different.
