Re: No deep sleep/very little REM? ASV user here looking for help! :)
Thanks pugsy for taking a look. I'll try the EPAP suggestion and see if that does anything. :) So, basically, if I didn't even point out that I was lacking deep sleep, my OSCAR charts look ok? I can't make heads or tails out of them, so I'm glad. :) Been on the fence about trying melatonin -- been r...

Re: No deep sleep/very little REM? ASV user here looking for help! :)
I’ve been waking more than usual recently although I’ve also had nights where I go the whole night without remembering being awake. So it’s a bit of a mix, but the results on the sleep tracking are similar on either kind of night. No medications except for a beta blocker which is a tiny dose I take ...

No deep sleep/very little REM? ASV user here looking for help! :)
Use a ResMed 10 ASV machine with a Philips Amara View full face mask (mouth breather, nose clogged up a lot of time even after multiple sinus surgeries) I've been using some sleep trackers recently, and they all basically show me at extremely low levels of deep sleep or REM sleep. Whoop (an HR/HRV t...

For Sale: ResMed AirSense 10 Auto -- only 968 hours
Unit is pretty much brand new in condition (you can still see the screen protector on the screen), 968 hours used. Unit, humidifier chamber, travel bag, manuals. I'm keeping the AC adapter to use for travel for my ASV machine that I have now...so you'll have to replace that. Asking $375 + shipping. ...

Will there ever be a "portable" ASV machine?
So I've read speculation that the hardware across the entire line of CPAP/Bi-PAP/ASV's are the same and the only difference is really just the software. Not sure if that's a gross simplification, but it seems fairly plausible. However, it seems like there are no travel machines available yet in the ...

Re: Traveling, to Japan with a DreamStation GO
Was just in Japan (Kansai airport) -- went through security without any issues whatsoever. In fact they were more interested in looking at my laptop which I left in my other bag. Was in Hong Kong, and there was a final bag check right before boarding the plane at the gate. Guy said he knew what the ...

Re: Getting a bit lost/disillusioned/frustrated
I have sleepyhead -- I just don't know what I'd be looking for in this case. And I definitely wouldn't go so far as calling the doc an "idiot" -- I'm sure he's had a lot of experience under his belt and he's been nice/helpful. I just am a bit miffed that he doesn't seem that motivated to get the num...

Re: Insurance rejects Dr's Sleep Study referral
I'm actually a bit lost in your story. Aren't you the same person in another thread who just started ASV? How did you start on ASV without an ASV lab titration?

Re: Insurance rejects Dr's Sleep Study referral
Your doctor, unfortunately is not doing his/her job correctly. In your case, since you are seeing central's, your doctor can request to do a peer to peer discussion with one of the insurance's medical review/approval staff (usually a doctor). That's what my doctor did when my insurance initially rej...

Re: Using Ramp Feature (and making it work)
What's "brutal" is the tone of some of those negative responses. Snark and condescension make the difference between a useful (negative) reply and one that, although possibly trying to make a good point, turns in to the "unwelcome wagon."
