Re: OT Terminal Melanoma
Not all melanomas start off looking like a scaly patch or a mole that turns " funky". A melanoma can just appear. Please know your skin and have any changes checked.

Re: Standard Procedures for ER's/ Hospitals & CPAP?
I am in the hospital right. As soon as I got to the PACU they put my cpap on with oxygen piggy backed between the hose and mask. Last night I had my cpap and it was plugged in using an extension cord. The hospital I am in is very pro cpap.

I don't see how a mask could make your tinnitus worse. Even if it did that is a small price to pay for BREATHING.

I did not get to see the original post so I can't say if it was spam or not. I don't think it is right for someone to just delete a post! If it is not to your liking just move on. Other's may want to read it and decide for themselves.

Re: What did people do before 1980 ?
Even in 1980, home CpAP machines were not common. What was it like to have sleep apnea back then? AWFUL!! Restless sleep. Gasping for air. Suffocating but can not wake up. AWFUL.

Re: Premature Ventricular Contractions
I had been on CPAP for 6 years with no diagnosed heart problems. Out of the clear blue sky I developed extremely frequent, extreme symptomatic PVCs. I had an ablation and now I have random, normal PVCs. Not sure what if there is any relationship between Sleep apnea and PVCs. I am just grateful for o...

Re: Anyone get off of CPAP by losing weight?
The assumption here is being fat is the cause of SA. Not all SA is caused by Being FAT! I could weigh 90 pounds and still have sleep apnea.

PATHETIC
Kind people on the forum give it up. This guy is playing you. On the outside chance he is not then he is an idiot for not listening to the good advice that has been giving to him MANY times.

Re: Why is my mask trying to drown me?
I sleep with the sheets over my head ( vents not blocked) to prevent the mask from getting a build up of condensation. My head is in a little cave or tent.

Re: Frustration with primary care doc. Anyone else?
Just a couple of thoughts. You might consider using a pulmaolgist who specializes in sleep disorders. My PCP is fantastic but does not manage my OSA. As new users we all tended to over think sleep, data, leaks etc. you will get to the point were you just get into bed, put your mask on, turn on the m...

Re: They still don't have an answer
Tough love here. They do have the answer and had it 2 MONTHS ago......but they lost it. Wake up and realize you will never get your report. Get a new sleep study and quit your whining. You are wasting your time chasing after something that will never be caught. So put your big boy pants on and do so...

Re: Persistent sleeping position pain
EDIT: I have changed the topic title based on the direction of this thread. Chest pain when using CPAP seems to be a fairly common problem. But whenever anyone asks about it on the forum, the reply is always to go to the emergency room right away. I have been through all that, multiple times, inclu...

Re: Poll Re: Apnea and Your Weight
Enchanter, gee you are stating an obvious...lose weight and you will be healthier. No kidding! You are stating what doctor's always say to overweight patients. Where you begin to blab BS is when you state that OSA is caused by being overweight! Not in all cases! Is it really that hard for you to und...
