Re: Sticky Air Hose Swivel

Sorry yes it's the F&P Simplus.

The swivel doesn't come apart. I've tried cleaning it the best I can with soap and then a soak in vinegar/water.

Sticky Air Hose Swivel

I use a FFM but most of the time where the hose interfaces with the mask at the swivel it doesn't spin or move smoothly. The plastic on plastic just isn't lubricated. I've tried mineral oil. But that was no help. Any other thoughts? I haven't tried anything else (KY, etc). Also doesn't mater if I've...

Thanks to the Humidifier

Just a quick story. For those that are uneasy about this whole CPAP thing. Other then the health benefits that the device provides like better sleep, better breathing, etc which all leads to overall better health. My wife and I live in Florida where the humidity is generally pretty high. I rarely go...

A tip for travelers (flying)

I travel quite a bit for work. Most of it is driving, so I just toss everything into my cpap bag (hose, power, cpap w/ humidifier, mask or 2). So when I flew for the first time with my cpap I pretty much did the same thing. Threw everything in the bag, made up some medical luggage tag and zip tied i...

Re: Seriously need help, DH says my cpap blows on him at night!

Just as others have mentioned... sounds like you might want to try a different mask. My DME was pretty nice and gave me a couple masks to try out. I tried the F10, wasn't crazy about the fit.. then my dog decided he wanted to see how it tasted. But my favorite so far is the F&P Simplus. It does exha...

Taking mask off in the middle of the night

So... does this happen to anybody else...? In the middle of the night, I'll randomly think, oh it's time to get up. I'll turn off the device and take my mask off. Eventually I kind of roll over, wake up a little and realize.. hey dummy, it's only 2:30am. Then I put it all back on. This doesn't happe...

Humidifier working?

I'm using a SystemOne and filled my humidifier as I always do. Last night was a fairly normal night. 97% mask fit, 7.5hrs. Woke up this morning and I don't think it used a single drop of water. I turned the machine on to double check. Humidity was set to 3. The plate was a little warm. But I dumped ...

How to lubricate swivel joint on mask

I have a F&P Simplus. The joint where the hose connects to the mask swivels. But sometimes it just isn't very smooth or gets a little stuck at the extremes. Any thoughts? I was possibly thinking the tiniest little drop of KY or something.

Thanks!

Re: Ever wake up and think it's not working?

What are your set pressures? Do you use SleepyHead to track overnight progress? Do you feel better or not? Hey Julie, I'm at 13mm. I have SleepyHead. I don't load the data every day. For the most part, from what I can tell, the data seems to be pretty good. Working on adjusting my mask to prevent a...

Ever wake up and think it's not working?

So I've have my CPAP for about 2 weeks now. I don't know if I'm just getting used to the pressure or something but I swear I've woken up thinking it was off.

Of course once I break the seal of the mask it leaks like crazy, so it is working. But I don't notice the pressure at all.

Re: Joining the OSA/CPAP Family

Thanks Sheriff! So I finally got SleepyHead up and running. I finally remembered the name of the mask that fell off on my 2nd night. It's a F&P Simplus. I tried it again last night mainly because I do feel it's more secure and doesn't move around my face as much. I spent a few min adjusting it befor...

Re: Joining the OSA/CPAP Family

Sorry about that. Yes it's the 560 APAP. I tried my other mask on the 2nd night, it felt more stable and comfortable on. It's also a FF mask with a piece that touches the forehead. But... Epic fail. Not sure how long I had it on, but I fell asleep, woke up around 3am and it was next to me on the bed...

Re: Joining the OSA/CPAP Family

So I ended up with the 560 Pro. Last night was mostly successful. I didn't have any panic attacks or anything... so that's a bonus. Woke up a couple times and had to scratch my nose, and also a couple times I had to adjust the mask on my face since my pillow was pushing on the mask causing it to lea...

Re: Unusual TSA Checkpoint Experience

As a newly diagnosed OSA patient and picking up my CPAP equipment today, please ignore my ignorance.

Do you carry your CPAP equipment on (vs checking it) to prevent theft or losing it if you lose your bags.

Other then those reasons, any other reason not to check it?

Re: Joining the OSA/CPAP Family

I'm going today to meet with the DME. I know they primarily sell the PR System One. Based on what I've read on here. If I'm getting a System One CPAP device and obviously one that has full data, I should make sure I should end up with the REMStar 60 Series Pro right?
