I actually had less leaks last night than the last few nights. I'm looking forward to a good nights sleep and a good day tomorrow.ChicagoGranny wrote:Leak rate is also important.Bobray95 wrote: I've been draggy all day.

Re: One Week on Air Sense 10 Auto
Hey happy day happy day happy day. How are you feeling? That's the important part. I have been feeling better until today. Last night I had a 1.2 number and slept almost 9 hours. I got up this morning and I've been draggy all day. I've fought off taking a nap afraid that will interfere with tonight...

One Week on Air Sense 10 Auto
I picked up my Air Sense 10 last Monday. The first night my AHI was 3.65 , .96, .90, .50, .66, .49 and last night was .40. I've been sleeping around 8 hours each night. So far so good!

Re: Dreams?
I was having a dream the other night and I remembered it. I think it was right before I was aroused by the alarm clock. Do I need to tell my boss that I need to quit setting my clock because it is interrupting my sleep and causing me to remember my dreams. This dream happened to be a good one so I'm...

Re: Newby-First Night on Cpap
Your experience with the DME is so typical. Be sure to have the attitude of knowing what you want and do not settle for anything less. It seems you are adjusting great to the therapy. Leave the bottom number where you have it. What type of mask do you have? Are you happy with it? Sheriff i have tot...

Re: Newby-First Night on Cpap
Wednesday morning I got ready and drove down to the DME just like I was told to do. When I got there they were surprised because their RT is on vacation. The guy in the office was very apologetic. He said that is why this was his last day with the DME after 19 years. He said he couldn't take it anym...

Re: Feel like a failure already!
I have only been on CPAP for a week so I know some of the feelings you are having. I can say that every night it has gotten easier on me. I don't use RAMP and I'm on a fixed pressure of 13. When I first put on my mask and turn the machine on it's kind of like standing in a wind storm. It takes a bit...

Re: Newby-First Night on Cpap
I went by the DME last Friday to see what the holdup was on my CPAP machine. The girl there told me they were waiting on the insurance company. Monday morning I called my insurance company and they told me they don't have to approve anything. If the Dr. wrote the script the DME contacts them to see ...

Re: Newby-First Night on Cpap
I finally got my sleep study results yesterday. The results were a little different than I expected. The script was written for an Automatic machine set from 13 to 17 with a heated humidifier. On the S7 I have been sleeping well at a setting of 12. I still haven't heard from my DME so I decided to i...

Re: Newby-First Night on Cpap
My second night on CPAP went well again! A couple of times I was so quiet that my wife woke me up to see if I was ok. This morning I told her that defeated the whole purpose of sleeping with a hose on my nose! lol I did wake up about 5 am and I was kind of snoring. All sorts of things began to run t...

Re: Newby-First Night on Cpap
Thanks Pugsy. I have read many of your post and you have been a great help. My brother just got a new S10 a few weeks ago so he gave me the S7 to keep as a spare. That was his spare before he got his new machine. Thanks again for all the help from you and everyone else. Having a brother who's been o...

Newby-First Night on Cpap
Went to the hospital May 18 with chest pains. Four days later they said my heart wasn't the problem. I was referred to the sleep center at the hospital. I went in for the initial consultation and the sleep Dr. felt pretty sure I was a candidate for APNEA. The receptionist scheduled me for my first s...
