For last night, I used 2 pieces of mouth tape instead of one - that stopped the leaks.

Appreciate the heads-up on doing that!

More update to come after the mouthpiece arrives.

At home, I use my Airsense 10. When traveling, I take my old S9 without humidifier chamber. The size is acceptable. I find that the bigger problem is the tubing. That takes up way more space. yes you can get leaks that way. I took have some misaligned front teeth. I've found that using denture cream on my lips keeps them from parting and for me, no mouth leaks.
