Re: airwaav

last night wasn't the best start for this device. but then, I probably said the same thing about CPAP when I first started. the fit itself was fine, once I got it placed precisely. turned lights out at 11 pm and woke up at 1:30 am with a slight bit of pain at the front of my mouth. this wasn't unexp...

Thoughts on how to proceed?

Re: Air Fit F20 Face Mask Condensation Issue from My Breath

try putting the hose and mask under the covers and sleep with the blankets over your head. sounds ridiculous but since I started doing this, no rain out or condensation.

Re: Looking for advice - Tired, Morning Headaches, etc.

I've been on CPAP Therapy for over a little over four years now. welcome to the zoo! sorry you've gone through so much aggravation so far in your journey. something that strikes me right away is your pressure settings. it looks like you have ramp on. you may want to get rid of that and just start w...

Re: Hitting Max Pressure With Controlled AHI Question

I've heard mixed things about pushing too hard on the pressure due to CAs, etc. Since my AHI is pretty good as-is and I'm sleeping well, I'm not sure how necessary it is to further raise the max pressure to reduce the time spent where the machine is "capping out". TIA! and you're going to no doubt ...

Re: Tongue Retainer compatible with CPAP?

yeah, as I suspected, trimming the device a bit more was a bridge too far. it made the device to wobbly to be effective. will try the airwavv next and start a new thread.

Re: Tongue Retainer compatible with CPAP?

so trimmed last night but still had a bit of a poke in the cheeks with it. will try trimming more, but feel like if I do too much, the unit will just not be stable. I shall see.

oh. thru it all, i'm still getting my ahi down near 1.5. not worth a pain in the cheeks, though.

I'm not sure what to think.
not everyone was snarky. pay close attention to robysue1. it can't hurt to visit another non-sleep specialist doctor such as an ear nose and throat person.

good luck!

Re: Tongue Retainer compatible with CPAP?

I use the Airwavv night time mouthpiece. (The purple one.) It fits snugly on my lower teeth and my tongue rest on it and that keeps it upward all night. It is a boil and bite and you must follow the directions exactly. I've used it for 7 months now and it always works for me. somehow, I got confuse...
