Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss Pt 2
If you are sleeping good and feeling good then I would give this setting some time and see what happens. If you aren't sleeping good and feeling good then maybe a little more minimum is needed. I don't know if this AHI is high enough to disturb your sleep or not. For some people they wouldn't feel ...

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss Pt 2
The line seems to go to whatever minimum I have set. So what tells you that 7 is low enough?
Just trying to understand.
Thanks.

Adjusting For Weight Loss Pt 2
Early in the year I made a post asking if I should adjust my cpap pressure due to having lost weight. It was suggested that I could try lowering it gradually and then checking my progress. My machine was set to 15 Minimum and 20 Maximum. I made several changes over many weeks, but finally decided to...

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
One of the most helpful ways to dial in therapy, make decisions based on trends and not single night anecdotal numbers is to take advantage of the Machine Setting information under the Statistics tab. It tracks your AHI and machine settings and does the math for you? Ensure your time frame at each ...

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
So I've lowered my pressure to 9.5, based on results from previous settings. Does this look as though I'd be safe to continue going lower? Out of curiosity, what is the result of going too low? Or how do I know when I get there? Thanks. when you go "too low", your ahi will increase. Thank you, that...

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
If it’s running at 12.6, 90% of the time, wouldn’t that be the average?

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
I’m on the road, so I don’t have my detailed results. But I’m using the Sleepmapper app.
My minimum pressure is set to 11.
The report says 90% pressure: 12.6,
Average CPAP pressure 11.3.
That seems odd to me.

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
I sleep on my back unless/until I wake with the morning light and take off my mask. Then I roll over and sleep on my front (or side).
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
Here's my recent report. Does this show anything useful?
Does it mean I can set my machine to 11 from 12? I'm not clear on how the graph works.
Thanks.

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
Unfortunately I woke up far too early, unable to go back to sleep, but that's been happening lately, not related to cpap. As you know, sleep is not all about CPAP -------------------> What I meant was, I've made a drastic change to my diet, for the better. I've been waking much earlier than usual s...

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
I switched it back to 12 last night. Unfortunately I woke up far too early, unable to go back to sleep, but that's been happening lately, not related to cpap. I feel much better than yesterday, despite the shortened sleep. So I guess 12 is the right number. It's more comfortable than 15, so I'm happ...

Re: Adjusting For Weight Loss
Okay, so I changed my minimum pressure from 15 to 12 on Friday night and felt great on Saturday. Then I lowered it to 10 last night, and I felt worse than I have in a long time. I guess that means that 12 is a good number for me. But I don't understand why... how that works. My AHI was higher than u...
