How often do you replace your filters? Can they be washed and reused? Do you have to buy specific cpap filters or can you find similiar ones that can work equally well that were made for a different purpose entirely?
Thanks.

Re: can I change my username?
Hello. You're still very new here with only 5 posts, would be pretty easy to start all over again with the new name of your choice.

Re: How do you know if CPAP is working?
Hi MrGrumpy, I wish I was as lucky as you. I'm a month in and still feel like crap. I hope I start feeling better soon. I did have a good night last week, was able to get a long stretch of solid sleep but fatigue still hit a few hours later. Oops, my machine is indeed an auto. Just realized you were...

Re: Needing to use bathroom during theary
I shut mine off when I get out of bed, and turn it back on when I get back in. This is what I do as well, but I guess it would depend on how complicated it is getting your headgear adjusted and on right. If it's a bigger pain to put the gear on than it would be to just take the hose with you then j...

This is where a ban button would be beneficial. I help moderate a forum and the amount of respect the members have for everyone else is such a joy. Of course there is squabbling sometimes, but it gets sorted out publicly or privately. It's not hard folks- just treat others the way you'd like to be t...

I want to congratulate you on your weight loss. Pretty awesome.
My OSA didn't go away after I lost weight either. I hoped it would, but nope.

Re: I slept awesome, it's a miracle
We are primarily here to help those who are struggling, but we certainly love to hear about people who can make CPAP work for them. Ack, I feel bad now since it sounded like I was boasting. . To all who are struggling, persevere and keep trying. I'm glad I did. I didn't try years ago when I was 1st...

Re: I slept awesome, it's a miracle
Thank you GB. I hope you do too. . Maybe our bodies have been starved for so long and it needs a little time to play catch up. A few things I need to mention- I didn't nap yesterday. Normally I'm pretty damn lazy and don't get anything done. I worked out and didn't snooze midday. Also, I take meds f...

I slept awesome, it's a miracle
Since I've started cpap again, I've been doing alright. Last night I did even better and I'm so happy. All my life I've been able to fall asleep quickly, it's just the quality was poor- tossing and turning, having to go to the bathroom a few times. Since I started cpap 3 weeks ago I've only had to g...

I have a large pillow for swift fx. I don't need anything right now, but hate to see it go to waste. If you need it, let me know.
