I haven't. I'll try it.luvsbluberries wrote:Instead of a ponytail, have you tried lifting all of your hair above the strap? (or make a ponytail, put mask on, then remove ponytail holder) This works for shorter hair too.

Re: Different headgear for Aloha?
Hey, there, I've gotten some good suggestions on keeping the headgear from slipping on one of my threads. You might check them out. Some, I haven't tried yet. I use Nuance Nasal Gel Pillows. What's different with these and the new ones you are using? I'm in search of new headgear that might not slip...

Re: Interpreting AHI
Thanks to all for your comments, well wishes and suggestions. (Upthread I meant to say that I was trying to eat clean. Not clean clean.....lol. ) I do use a ponytail some of the time, (my hair is long), but, it only helps a little. It still slips up. I don't want to wear a ponytail every night, beca...

Re: Interpreting AHI
Okay. That's a lot of information. I do trust the machine and I think it must be accurate. I feel really good, unless I just have an occasional night where I wake up at 3:00 and just can't get back to sleep, but, that rarely happens. Most of the time, I feel quite rested and have actually LOST 45 po...

Re: Interpreting AHI
That makes sense. I thought it was like that. I am registered with ResMed, so I do get a daily report that gives me a score, based on various factors, like hours, leaks, AHI, etc. I normally get very high scores, thank goodness and my AHI is normally .3. I have had zero as well. I don't think I've e...

Interpreting AHI
What does it mean when the AHI number is a decimal number, like .3 or .2? I know what 1 per hour means, but, what does .3 per hr translate into?

Oh, I didn't realize there would be such a big deal to switch. Oh well, I guess, I'm trapped for awhile.

Re: lincare complaints
I've had problems with Lincare too. I've used them going on 2 years and it just seems to be billing problems, reaching someone, getting a straight answer, etc. They even sent oxygen to my house once by mistake. I don't use oxygen. lol I would like to switch to Edgepark, since I have dealt with them ...

Re: A certain poster....
But in my mind, there is a point where certain behaviors are unacceptable, and name calling and demeaning others for the mere offense of disagreeing with one's own point of view is getting close to or beyond what is acceptable public behavior. How is what this thread about any different than what y...

Re: CPAP torture
I wouldn't rule out the possibility that you do need cpap treatment, just because you aren't sleepy during the day. That was not one of my symptoms either. I did awaken numerous times to go to the bathroom throughout the night, and I would awake suddenly in a panic. In retrospect, I think I had low ...

Re: Claustrophobic Having a Hard Time
I would really focus on making sure your mask is comfortable. I'm not sure how to do that, but, there are some great suggestions from others above. I knew almost instantly, that the full mask that I tried on was not going to work at all. I switched to a Nasal Pillow and was immediately much more com...

Re: Missed Compliance by One Day
So far, I haven't had to prove anything outside the initial compliance period, but, you never know. I'm okay with it. I suspect that I am in the top 5% of people who use their cpap machine....maybe more. I'm not sure. Here's a study from 2008. I hope that the numbers have improved since then. https:...

Re: Missed Compliance by One Day
What happens after you get past the compliance period and they have paid for the device? BCBS has paid, but, how do they confirm that you still use it regularly? I am hooked in with ResMed Myair, but, how do they know this? They are still paying for my supplies. How do they confirm my continued com...

Re: Will we ever adjust?
Please let me confirm. Are you saying that My Air Sense 10 machine has a snore graph? Must I download it through a program like SleepyHead program? The example I posted was from the SleepyHead software. To see any graphs you have to use some sort of software...so either SleepyHead or ResScan. The t...
