Re: trucker needs portable cpap

I recommend getting a battery unit. They also have mobile charging packs they sell that can jump start cars, as well as power basic appliances for a time etc. I work for Daimler Trucks North America in Portland, and I know we're starting to make trucks that come with CPAP machines as this is a very ...

Re: How much was ypur sleep study?

At Kaiser Permanente, I didn't even need a stay-in sleep study, they just sent us home with a $5000 machine (free unless we didn't return it), which strapped to my chest, with two belts one around the chest the other around the stomach, a pulse-sensor for the finger, and air monitor for the nose and...

Re: Therapy-Effectiveness Drop after switching masks

Good feedback, thank you! I'll download that application and try and do some analysis of my own tonight to get some more concrete information. Therapy-Effectiveness Drop after switching masks

Throwing it out there to see if anyone has any ideas here, though I definitely intend to have my sleep-physician look at my CPAP data within the month to get his opinion on this as well. So, first month with CPAP. As far as masks go, I started with the Resmed Swift FX pillows. Sleep quality was on a...

Re: Leaks with Swift FX Nasal Pillows

Yeah, I've been having similar questions about the Swift FX Nasal Pillows. Been on CPAP now for about a month, and this was the first mask I've tried. At the beginning I definitely noticed improved sleep, and overall that's still true. However, I've frequently found the fit of the nasal pillows irri...

Re: nasal congestion

I don't get nasal congestion *from* CPAP. That sounds like a rather silly excuse to stop using a life-saving therapy with lots of customizable options. I do however get nasal congestion from allergies, and they annoy me thoroughly, because I can't seem to get rid of the stuff nose before using CPAP,...
