Re: Need Advice: AirFit N10 vs Swift FX Nano
yay! finding the right mask is one of the toughest parts of this whole journey. Thanks for your comment, palerider. The smaller mask is much more comfortable, but the noise is still an issue. I don't want to hear myself breathe so much. I'm receiving the Swift FX Nano on Friday to give it a try.

Re: CPAP Study: Win Amazon Giftcard!
For my Master's Thesis at the University of Freiburg (Germany), I am studying CPAP Users' opinions about their machines. To this end I have created an online questionnaire that takes about 10 -20 minutes to complete. You can find it here: https://www.soscisurvey.de/CPAP_Thoughts/ I completed the qu...

Re: Need Advice: AirFit N10 vs Swift FX Nano
UPDATE: I tried using the small-sized N10 mask last night. This seemed to help a lot. The noise wasn't as much of an issue and I had no problems with leaks or skin irritations.

Re: DIY CPAP Tube Holder Idea
Hey, Fergie--great hack!!! I have a homemade one on my blog but your is a much more elegant solution. You CAN travel with that. You can use a Command hook, and remove it when you leave the hotel without damage to the wall. I still like my hose above my head when we travel. I carry dozens of rubber ...

Re: DIY CPAP Tube Holder Idea
Have you tried not using a hose buddy of any kind? Thanks for your comment and for sharing your experiences. I did consider not using a holder. However, my machine is on the top of my headboard, on the built-in shelf. I don't have a side table because we pushed the bed up against the wall (the room...

Need Advice: AirFit N10 vs Swift FX Nano
Hi, So, I started using a CPAP just over a week ago and the sleep tech gave me the ResMed AirFit N10 to use with a standard-sized and small-sized mask. I've been using the standard mask even though I think the smaller one fits (I haven't tried it overnight yet). I like how the mask feels, but hate t...

Thanks for the advice! I'm traveling soon, so this has been on my mind.ChicagoGranny wrote:Do what you need to be successful with CPAP.
But think about how you are going to manage when you travel.
For me it was better to keep things simple and it was fairly easy to learn to sleep with the hose lying in the bed.

That's exactly what I end up doing with them.SewTired wrote:...Just wanted to add that one use for the lanyards is to attach to all those little flash drives. It's so easy to lose those suckers behind the crap on your desk or in your drawers.

Re: DIY CPAP Tube Holder Idea
Thanks! (And, thanks for the points.) When coming up with this idea, I actually looked around my house for badge holders that I received from past conventions. They all went to the thrift shop. For some reason, though, I have a ton of lanyards.deforeman wrote: Welcome!

DIY CPAP Tube Holder Idea
Hi, I am new to using a CPAP machine. When preparing for the big day (the day that I received my machine), I learned about the benefits of CPAP tube holders... and about how expensive some are. After doing a bit of brainstorming, I came up with my own CPAP tube holder idea that I want to share with ...
