Re: Alert for taking my mask off??
I have to take my mask off a few times per night to use the restroom. After about a minute my machine starts to beep.

Re: Mouth Taping with Beard... no worky
49er, I must admit, as much as I love numbers, I haven't checked Sleepyhead lately. I'm on vacation the week of Labor Day and should be able to check then.

Re: Mouth Taping with Beard... no worky
Taping? I'm gonna hVe to try this. I keep waking up with a dry mouth, I think I'm mouth breathing. Taping sounds like it may do the trick.

What a shame
I don't know what is going on with all of the drama on this board, but it's a shame that it is messing up the board for everybody that is here to learn and share. I'm very new to all of this and love learning about apnea and I'm sad that I have to go through all the crap to get to the good stuff. I ...

Re: Exhale lips flapping?
I wake up laughing and thinking of horses when I do this, especially during a nap. My husband says I'm goofy. Thank goodness it doesn't happen often.

I'm so sorry. My husband was diagnosed in October 2013. We still still worry.

Re: [Poll] How do you monitor your CPAP therapy?
As much as I love data, I've surprised myself and very rarely use sleepyhead. I know I'm dreaming again, my husband even says I'm talking in my sleep again. He says I was laughing in my sleep this weekend. To me, those are good ways to monitor my therapy. At this point I don't need numbers to tell m...

Re: Renewed energy!
Haha, I'm a little worried about my husband too!
I'm so happy to hear you are having great results too! It took me about two months, but it was worth the wait! After years of being so tired it's nice to have some energy and want to do things.

Re: Newbie with nasal pillow
I use a Bipap machine, 14 inhale, 10 exhale. When I started June 1st my ramp was set for 30 minutes, it's now set for 10 minutes. When I first started I would have to use the ramp several times per night because I felt as if I was suffocating or chocking. I'm so used to my settings now, that if I wa...

Re: Best way to keep nose moist?
Thanks for all of the ideas! And yes, I am actually having an issue with mouth breathing and dry mouth too. I tried a small full mask but it was too big so went back to the pillows until I have time to deal with getting an extra small full mask. When I requested to try a full mask they said I'm betw...

Best way to keep nose moist?
I was putting a dab of Vic's right under each nostril before putting on my gear, but I've heard that's not good for me and my gear so I've stopped using it. Even with my humidifier set to 5 my nose is drying out. What is the best thing to us e to keep my nose moist? I should also mention that I use ...

Renewed energy!
I have been using my bipap faithfully since June 1st. The last few weeks my husband says he has noticed my increased energy. I have always been big on getting things done around the house, but I guess I'm doing more and dragging him in! Haha, he says he hasn't decided to love or hate the fact that i...
