Re: Oxygen with CPAP
I am also supposed to be on supplemental oxygen (which I still use during the day), but since I received my CPAP a couple of weeks ago, I've stopped using the oxygen at night (just assumed that would be okay since the doctor told me to start CPAP therapy). How on earth does the oxygen hook up to the...

Re: My CPAP keeps waking my sleep partner
I just want to say thanks again to everybody for all your replies. Everyone on here is so very helpful. @yaconsult: Thanks for your kind words. I had my fears going in to this process, but I'm very happy with how it's turned out. I'm excited to try the P10 and see how that goes. I don't think I woul...

Re: What causes your sleep apnea?
I agree with SewTired. I think medication can definitely aggravate it, but the condition was likely already there. I'd been having symptoms of sleep apnea for two years and no doctor ever thought of it (though I was tested for practically everything else). Then I had an acute medical condition this ...

Re: How long does it usually take for tritation follow up?
FWIW, the only DME option in my area was Apria, which I think many would agree can be very difficult to work with. I'm in the Bay Area, and the next available appointment with an Apria representative was in July. It sounds like others have much better luck with their DMEs.

Re: My CPAP keeps waking my sleep partner
Thank you all for your replies. They're all very helpful. I'm going to give the P10 a try and see what I (and my husband) think of that. If leaks are still waking him up, I think I'll give the liners a try. I wish I could convince him to get twin beds. Between him and the dog, I end up with just a s...

Re: My CPAP keeps waking my sleep partner
Oh, I hadn't considered a fan or any kind of sound machine! Maybe even an air purifier or just something with white noise. That might work if I really can't stand the P10. Thanks for the idea!!

Re: My CPAP keeps waking my sleep partner
Thanks, SleepDisturbed and Sleeprider. I'd prefer to avoid switching masks if possible. Mine is so comfy and doesn't bother me at all. But I have read good things about the P10 on this board and broke down and bought one from someone on here just yesterday. So that will arrive soon and I'll give it ...

Re: How long does it usually take for tritation follow up?
I had my first sleep study on 3/6/15 and the follow up titration study on 4/24/15. I got the results from my titration (along with an Rx) in the mail on 5/5/15 and ordered what I wanted from cpap.com that day. I didn't have the patience to deal with a DME (I did call around and the earliest DME appo...

My CPAP keeps waking my sleep partner
A little background: Before my OSA diagnosis, I could literally sleep 18+ hours straight if I didn't set an alarm. I never woke up feeling refreshed. I was always dragging and craving more sleep. And on days where I only managed 7-9 hours of sleep because of work, I often fell asleep at my desk or e...

Re: Airfit p10 Vs Swift Fx
I just started my therapy a couple of weeks ago, so I'm by no means a pro at this, but I thought I'd add my two cents. When I started, I ordered three masks to try out: the Swift FX Nasal Pillows, the Swift FX Nano and the AirFit P10. I guess I'm the odd one out, but the P10 was the loudest to me wh...

Re: New to all this - Apps that are compatible with machines?
FWIW, you can also register your machine on the ResMed MyAir website. Once registered, it will show you some very rudimentary information, but one of them is events per hour, which is at least something. This is all I've been looking at since getting my machine last week because I don't want to have...

Re: New to CPAP: Qs about viewing data
Thank you Pugsy for linking the tutorial and Avi for posting some ResScan screen shots. I actually think I prefer the look of this to the SleepyHead screen shots I've seen. I just want to see the numbers - all those graphs in SleepyHead would freak me out. I could see myself staring at them for hour...

Re: New to CPAP: Qs about viewing data
Thank you all for your replies. I really appreciated the help. I did signup for "MyAir" on the ResMed website last night (I found it after my posting my question), and I logged into it this morning. It is definitely very rudimentary. It does track daily information, so I can see, for example, a bar ...

New to CPAP: Qs about viewing data
Hi all, I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere, but I ran some searches and really couldn't find anything. I was diagnosed with moderate obstructive sleep apnea (AHI of 18) about a month ago and have been using a CPAP (or APAP, I guess) for about a week now. In the morning, I can view my "sle...
