Re: OT: Trazadone for sleep?

My husband has been prescribed Trazadone for sleep by his doctor (with whom I'm not impressed!). Hubby wakes about 4:30 am (welcome to MY world) and has trouble going back to sleep. Does anybody have any knowledge of or experience with this drug? I've read it only works for a few weeks, can cause e...

Re: OT: Trazadone for sleep?

My doctor prescribed this for me three weeks ago because I have no problem falling asleep but can' stay asleep. I would get 4-5 hours a night and would get up 3-4 times in that time. Since taking this I only get up about twice a night and I am staying in bed 7-8 hours. It has been about 15 years sin...

Re: OT: Colonoscopy

Thanks, I'll try and check on the costs again. I couldn't get anywhere with the people at cigna other than it had to be coded preventive, and not related to a pre existing condition. looks like a gallon jug with some powder at the bottom called GaviLyte-N with a delicious lemon flavor pack. PEG-335...

Re: Complaint - Customer Service Not Helpful

That was very nice of Johnny but I noticed the OP has not commented since his original post, wonder if he even comes back to see Johnny's generous offer.

Re: OT: Colonoscopy

Thanks for the reminder, gotta go pick up the prep from the pharmacy. The doc said the prep was the worst and that i would be cursing him. But with sedation during, so i will remind them about the cpap usage. Was thinking of doing an endoscopy at the same time, but it doesn't sound like doing both ...

Re: OT: Colonoscopy

About eight years ago I had a gastro that prescribed pills, can't remember the name and my insurance company charged them as tier 3 so they cost $50 but it was worth it, had to take about 20 pills with a lot of water and then a few dulcolax with some gingerale and I used him twice but then moved out...

Re: Disappointed with Machine and Results - Help?

Hi, there are others that will be able to offer you more help than I can but they are going to want more information on what machine you use, the model number as there are many different ResMed Escape Models. Using the pillows and being a mouth breather can be difficult. I wear a nasal mask at times...

Re: ..YES!!!!!! ...Just got home!!!!!

Congratulations on your pleasant experience at the titration!! Keep up this attitude as it will take you far in your CPAP treatment.
I am sure some Bi-level users will chime in with their experiences and preferences with those machines.

Hay, I just realized you're from Martinsburg. I'm from Wayne Co, WV and under-graduated (that's Hillbilly talk for received an undergrad) from Marshall U. I understand that Martinsburg might technically be Maryland so you may be a little disconnected from your roots. I'm in the midwest now, trying t...

Re: OT: Scalia and sleep apnea

She seems to fall asleep a lot, wonder if she ever had a sleep study! Define a lot. Perhaps in terms of the Epworth Sleepiness Scale? That's what I had to do to justify my sleep study. I was just teasing, she fell asleep during quite a few of the State of the Union addresses, which can be pretty bo...

Re: OT: Scalia and sleep apnea

I'm sorry there haven't been eight more like him on the SCOTUS. In the days following his death, there was so much information about him that the spectrum of ideologies should have appreciated more. He was actually very close with those on the court who were ideologically polar opposites to him. De...

Re: OT: Blew that!

Sorry to hear that. I would start now by contacting the drug manufacturer's for all the RX's that you take and let them know you have lost your insurance and can no longer afford the medication. Most of them are very good at paying for them or offering a huge discount. They do require the RX and you...

Re: New Sleep Apnea Sufferer, Insurance Non-Helpful ---

New fun -- I'm experiencing swelling in my lower legs, ankles and feet. I think it has to do with BIPAP -- specifically the fact that before BIPAP I was waking up 4-5 times a night, and urinating while I was up -- I'm no longer doing this, so I think I'm retaining water. I have a doctor's appointme...
