Humidifier blue light.. why?

All, For the past 2-3 days I have been noticing that my humidifier is not heating even though the heat setting in the machine is on. The light remains blue and I get cold air blown at me. It used to work fine to where the light would be yellow and I have not made any changes to the setting so am cur...

Re: Time To Change To Nasal Masks?

Thank you. yes, I meant 5 am.. typo. I will try the nasal pillows tonight with neck collar and report back. I am trying to get to a point where I am not having to think about this everynight and day... and have it down to a recipe that works no matter what time I go to bed and which side I sleep on....

Time To Change To Nasal Masks?

All, I began my CPAP treatment with nasal mask (pillows) about a year ago but found that I was a mouth breather so moved to full face mask (F-10) about 2 months ago. However that brought on issues with leakage. To rule out various possibilities (and to rule out all options), I ran a tap test on my h...

Re: How To Stop Leaks? Help

Thank you. I will try a cervical collar. Last night was better sleep but there are still periods of major mask leakage which I think is because of how my mask position changes when my muscles relax .Will report back on progress with a collar ..

Thank you.

Re: How To Stop Leaks? Help

Thank you all. I am ON the fixing of leaks and will start by testing the hose and then the other steps suggested.

What is the number of leaks that's acceptable and considered ok?

Please advise.

Thanks

How To Stop Leaks? Help

All, I am at my wits end....had a really bad night again last night and more importantly a bad morning right now!! Looks like I have a very leaky situation on hand in-spite of using a chin strap for the first time. Good news is my mouth did not open, nor did it get dry. Bad news is I still have a he...

Re: Sleepyhead info to take to new doc

I agree with many of the comments on this string. I have had the machine for a year and already fired one doctor and his practice. The second I can barely tolerate. It takes weeks to get an appointment and not much insight once I am there. The nurse practitioner seems to at least have a bit more to ...

Re: Masks for heavy mouth breathers??

Thanks for your responses. Rally appreciate the great feedback and ideas. I used to have the full face for me but found that the rush of air across my cheeks and eyes was too much to sleep through...plus the contours of my face did not sit the mask well so I opted for the smaller mask with some of m...

Masks for heavy mouth breathers??

Hi all, I currently use a full face mask (details below) but my mouth seems to still open and fall below the mask sometimes so I am sort of hanging half in/ half out. Consequently I am drying out my mouth.. are there good full face masks that you would recommend that cover the nose and mouth well be...

Re: There..... But Not Quite!

As an update, I had a much better night last night....good but not excellent yet. Still woke up at about 1 am and 5:15 am to use the little girls room but slept after both trips. I did raise the minimum pressure setting from 6 to 7 as Ruby Sue suggested. My body did not seem to mind it and slept wit...

Re: There..... But Not Quite!

Back to an earlier question.. before CPAP I dont recall getting up to go to the bathroom mid sleep at all. But what worries me most about...
