Re: Travel CPap
I travel often as well, probably one night away from home a week on average, so I can definitely relate to these frustrations! I prefer travelling light and I've been very happy with the HDM Z1. I currently pack the AirFit P10 Nasal Pillows with it, although I prefer the DreamWear mask I have at hom...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
Update: I've gotten three consecutive nights (around 6 hrs a night) with the Pilot Pro and my machine at 10cm of pressure (no humidifier). For me, I've found I can go quite fine for a few nights with no humidification. Not super comfortable but not awful either. I can get two nights while simultaneo...

Re: using distilled water in the humidiefer
I wouldn't obsess too much over distilled or "partially distilled" or even purified water. The goal is to prolong your tank's life by preventing mineral build-up. I use distilled from the grocery store at home, and tap water on the road, and wash everything out once a week or so. And then soak in vi...

Re: What does the sleep doc do long-term?
So it's been 2-3 months since I got my CPAP machine and I'm due for a follow-up visit with the sleep doc. I've never actually seen the doc, only an NP, who has been excellent to work with. I'm just not really convinced I want to give the half-day of time away from my work (which is keeping me plenty...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
Picked up one of these and used it last weekend on an overnight. Took just the pump half of my PR System One Series 60 and it went from 100% battery to 85% in the first night. Overall I'm pretty impressed. At home I ran it for 10 minutes each at pressure settings up to 20 cmH2O without problems. The...

DIY small humidifier solution
I started CPAP very recently, and it's definitely been good for me. I can't imagine life without it, honestly. I've found I really benefit from humidification, and I'm pondering a lightweight/low-space travel/camping setup. My job often takes me to fairly austere places where I don't have the benefi...

New CPAP user from Texas---I have a lot to learn!
Greeting...this forum was hugely helpful for me in navigating the perilous waters of selecting and purchasing my first CPAP machine. My first night on CPAP was incredible...I had no idea how bad off I was before. I'm a paramedic clinical manager/paramedic educator by trade and as my title says, I'm ...
