How to sleep deeper with cpap
I have been able to successfully use CPAP now, now that ive figured out how to handle nasal congestion and all the other stuff that makes CPAP usage difficult. But I still have an issue of waking up several times due to CPAP interrupting my sleep. The only thing that seems to work is ambien/zopiclon...

Re: How to sleep more than 8 hours on cpap
Please tell us what steps have already been taken... Has your data been checked lately to see if your treatment is working well for you? Have you assessed any meds or supplements to see if they are known to disturb sleep? Have you been checked for medical conditions (like thyroid dysfunction, etc.)...

How to sleep more than 4 hours on cpap
I've been having difficulties adjusting to treatment. I'm unable to sleep more than 4-5 hours at a time with cpap. And this has made it exceptionally hard to get a good nights sleep. I usually end up with chopped up sleep or 50/50 divided between sleep apnea sleep and non-treated sleep. How do you a...

If the pressure needed is low. It doesn't matter as much. It only matters if the pressure needs are much higher than the lower range.

Re: 100% compliant to CPAP, still tired, can I do something ?
That's awful... don't know what to tell you... have you inquired about taking Provigil on days like that? I don't know which days I would be suffering, it is still random to me. By the way, I change pressure to 9, and for the last 2 lunch times I don't feel sleepy. Is there a "Pressure increasing e...

Re: It seems I will finally be getting a CPAP
Hey man, I wonder what happened to you. I looked at the sleep report, it's not that different from my own stats. While it's not bad, it's not optimal either. And yes that ambien seems to have worsened your sleep apnea quite a bit, your ahi is probably a little less. Other than that, i have nothing e...

Re: My 5yr old may have apnea
I'm concerned that my 5 year old may have sleep apnea. He is not obese but has slightly enlarged thyroid and subclinical hypothyroidism. During the day he is completely inattentive and is usually sleepy in the morning when he wakes up. I've noticed him struggling to breath when sleeping, and quite ...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
To cut the story short. CPAP works. The days I dont use cpap. My brain is completely shut off, ill have pangs of anxiety, and my memory will drastically be reduced, and thats even with relatively mild sleep apnea(Ahi 11-12) and desaturation nadir around 86-87 at most with a few minutes below 90%. I'...

You're likely sleeping better with less interrupted sleep/less hypoxemia on the better days.

Re: Brain recovery: how to speed it up ?
If you've had it untreated for 11 years at an ahi of 50. You'll have some residual deficits. I'd seriously look into adhd meds and exercise. And remember to optimize your therapy and have full cpap compliance. You'll improve. But you'll unlikely function at the same level as premorbid/prior to onset...

Re: slim line tube vrs. climate line or heated tube
It depends on their supporting application. I use a slimline tube as anything heavier will cause mask leaks from the weight of the tube pulling forward at the mask. A heated hose will help if you experience issues with nasal congestion. All in all they don't differ much except with the properties of...

Re: SleepWeaver Advance Nasal pros/cons?
If you're going to use a circadiance mask i recommend:
-Getting a featherweight tube as an accesory
-Using a slimeline tube
-And a hoselift
With those, you can get a decent fit without any issues. Without them, you'll have a hard time getting a leak free fit.
