Question about airsense 10 autoset

I was wondering if resmed autoset 10 is able to measure RDI?

I am under the impression that RDI is more inclusive than AHI since it also includes RERA"s and other sleep disturbances.

Re: I give up!!

I've been on CPAP for 2 weeks also. 49 per hour reduced to .o4-.08 per hour. No headaches from day one. Quit? no way! My diagnosed AHI of 51 is down to .3-1.7. I am glad to hear that your headaches are gone. My overwhelming fatigue remains.. I am going to set the APAP in CPAP mode at a single press...

Re: I give up!!

No improvement after 2 weeks of Apap therpay. none. not even an ounce. I feel even more tired for some reason because of all the adjustmets I have to make to get used to cpap mask. I am going to return this Apap and maybe ask my doctor to prescribe a mandibular device. Interesting (to forum rats) t...

Re: Constant flow limit on sleepyhead. Should I be worried?

1. Notice the 2:13:45 FL, clearly an airway obstruction event, happened when pressure was ~15. Do you see less such event at 16? Well I had a similar event when pressure was 16 at 3:12. http://i.imgur.com/tG4bHgF.png Your airflow resume to near normal quickly after FLs, which means your nervous sys...

Also can you zoom in on one prominent FL event and share the flow graph here?

Re: Whistling nose or Whistling Dixie

I could be wrong but I think whistling noise means that you are having large leaks. You should look at your machine's leak rate and it should be below 24 L/min for optimal therapy.

Re: POLL: How do you feel using your xPAP?

I should add a comment...the reason that I started on cpap wasn't because I was tired or sleepy during the day. The reason was that my wife was telling me that she heard me not breathing for periods of time at night. And my snoring woke her up so that she could hear the apneas *smile*. Well, on cpa...

Re: Constant flow limit on sleepyhead. Should I be worried?

I don't see the pressure graph on this report above. Next time you might include it and omit the snore graph as the snore graph isn't particularly useful in this situation. http://i.imgur.com/8Eq8Qp8.png Or like me with 30 to 50 wake ups during the night where I remember waking up but don't turn th...

Re: Constant flow limit on sleepyhead. Should I be worried?

May sound simple, but it's helped others - have you tried a soft cervical collar to keep your head off your chest and your airway more open? It can make quite a difference, and also helps to keep your mouth closed if there's a chance of mouth leaking. I have never tried a cervical collar. I will de...

Re: Constant flow limit on sleepyhead. Should I be worried?

So you have trouble falling asleep? Does this problem predate cpap therapy? Do you also have trouble staying asleep? Meaning once you get to sleep you wake up often for whatever reason and then have trouble falling back to sleep again? How many wake ups? Of the 11 hours on the machine on this repor...

Re: POLL: How do you feel using your xPAP?

I have been using APAP for a week now with no improvement in daytime symptoms as of yet. I have been able to bring down my AHI from 51 to 1 so hoping for better days ahead

Re: Constant flow limit on sleepyhead. Should I be worried?

Hi Pugsy, Is the nose often congested and these FLs related to nasal mucosa issues as opposed to airway issues? No issues with nasal congestion. I believe it is an airway issue. Wake up often? I see at least 2 breaks in therapy where the machine was turned off? Why? I was not able to fall asleep so ...

Constant flow limit on sleepyhead. Should I be worried?

I was diagnosed with OSA but I believe I might have Upper respiratory restrictive syndrome based on the high flow limit events all night.

Re: I feel more tired on APAP than before

You might very well be more comfortable and less likely to arouse if your APAP was set to a much tighter range. Since your median pressure level (10.62) and your 95% pressure level (12.86) are only a couple of cm apart, you might be more comfortable if the machine was set in a range that was someth...
