Re: Recently diagnosed with sleep apnea

My question is has anyone else suffered from some of the things I mentioned? And if so, how much of a difference did it make when you started treating sleep apnea with a cpap machine? Hey Josh, I had almost the same list of issues as you plus high blood pressure. I've been on CPAP since March and I...

Re: Is CPAP a useful tool for sleep apnea?

CPAP gave me my life back. I get up maybe twice rather than five to seven times every night. I don't wake up with headaches. I don't nod off in meetings anymore. I don't start to nod off at the wheel of my car anymore (!). I don't fall asleep in a chair right after dinner anymore. The pressure help...

Re: For those who want to quit CPAP

I changed primary care physicians because my previous doctor didn't seem to have any response to my non-stop exhaustion other than: maybe chronic fatigue syndrome. My new physician took one look at my medical history form and said, hmmm... high blood pressure, weight gain, fatigue, snoring, depress...

Re: ResMed AirFit F10 with beard

I have a full beard, I've been using the F10 for about a month now. It does start to leak worse when my beard gets longer. If I trim my beard I'm able to get a good seal most of the time.

Re: Newbie just had my CPAP Titration done, need insight/advice!

I've been using the Airfit F10 for over a month now. I sleep on both sides and my back. It leaks occasionally when I'm on my side but it's usually a quick fix. Very little leaking when I'm on my back. It's been great so far.

Re: I need to whine...

I run through a full tank every night with my air sense 10. When the heat was still running I was running out about 5AM since it was so dry in the house.

Re: Newbie settling in

I'm with you Jon, I actually look forward to masking up when it's bedtime. I know I'll be able to breathe. It's worth the inconvenience! I'm two weeks into therapy and the fog is lifting already!

Re: 5 days in and much easier than I anticipated

I'm a week in myself, I'm already very attached to my machine. I'm feeling better already! I was fortunate enough to find this forum shortly after my initial diagnosis. My dad and father-in-law are now in the process themselves.

Getting first CPAP tomorrow, advice?

Hi, I've been reading posts here for a month or so. I've recently been diagnosed with OSA. My sleep study revealed that my AHI is 72 when in REM sleep. So I haven't been sleeping properly for years. I had a titration study after my initial study. Hoping to get some relief from sleepiness, bad memory...
