Re: Relapse?

Dear C Peeps (see what I did there? ), Thanks again for all of this advice. Hang Fire, thanks for the heads up, but just so you know, the private message was a referral to a local sleep doctor who I didn't know about, so I'm grateful to have that info - but I know what you mean about being careful o...

Re: Relapse?

Hey everyone, thank you. I do have Sleepyhead - but I don't use it! I will now though! Maybe I'll use this upcoming blizzard that's about to hit us to get info and then post a link so others can help me figure this out. I had a great conversation with my DME this afternoon. She noted that my pressur...

Relapse?

Good morning all, I've been on CPAP therapy for about a year. Like many folks, it was a tough start. I started with the CPAP the same week that my dad died, so the grief that I felt got all intertwined with trying to figure out all the moving parts of CPAP therapy - mask type, pressure, humidity. Bu...

Resmed Airsense 10 power switch quit working

Hi All, My Resmed Airsense 10 is about 10 months old; last night, the on/off switch just...quit. It no longer clicks on or off. It just pushes in with no response. The machine is on, still responds to things like the leak test. Has anyone had this problem? I'll call my supplier tomorrow, but was won...

Re: Anyone use "MY AIR" on resmed site

I use it. It's easy for me to check on my iPhone. It's doesn't give a lot of info like Sleepyhead, but generally, it correlates very well with how I'm feeling - ie, scores between 95 and 100 (which I have hit only once!) mean I'll have a pretty energetic day. Scores in the 80's...not so much.

Re: Stomach Sleeper

Thank you, Robysue, for posting the article about the falcon sleeping position - so helpful! I tried this position the past two nights, and found it very, very restful. I've been a CPCP now for about three months and just now feel like I'm getting quality sleep.

Six weeks in: some firsts

Six weeks of CPAP use, and in the past two nights I've experienced the following for the first time: 1. Turned over in the night at some point without waking up to make sure the hose didn't get tangled. 2. Slept through the entire night without having to take off the mask to massage my face 3. Slept...

Re: Resmed Air Series Kudos

My first night on my AirSense 10, I had a horrible night, and I got a "MyAir" score of 65. Underneath it, it said "That's a great score!" Really? I'm now hitting 95's and it's telling me that's an excellent score, so at least there's some variation. My machine is set to auto between 4 - 8 cm H20 - I...

Re: My prescription clusterf**ck; DME doesn't take my insurance.

When I first got my prescription for my CPAP a few weeks ago, the doctor told me I'll get a call from a DME...I got not just one call, but two, neither of which the doctor's tech told me he would call (the one he told me he called never called). And of course no one could explain why, when the docto...

Re: Newbie settling in

Ugh! Taught last night which meant a late night for me - got all excited about my new machine only to discover that the tech had forgotten to set the pressure correctly! My prescription is for Auto 4 - 8 cm H20, but when I was trying on the mask she took it off auto, set it to 8 to make sure I had a...

Newbie settling in

I feel like I've just finished freshman orientation, and I'm ready for school. I can finally stop using my clunky loaner CPAP from the sleep lab: after 6 weeks since my sleep test, my very own, brand new ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset was delivered today by a very helpful respiratory therapist who spent...

Newbie with headaches

Back to the sleep doctor today for the first time sense getting my loaner CPAP machine a week and a half ago. He'll be reading the information from the card and hopefully I'll be getting a mask that fits better and setting me up for an auto PAP test to get further information. One question I have is...

I'll be interested to hear your reviews of this. I spoke with someone earlier this week who has been using a Sleepweaver mask for a full year, no problems, so I hope it works out for you!

One week in: ? about titration study vs. auto PAP

I've been sleeping with my CPAP now for one week, and I have to say that I think I got my best night's sleep last night - I actually had some some sleep, positive vivid dreams (that included moving back to Boulder and barbecue! LOL), and woke up cheerful. On the other hand, I woke up with deep pain ...
