Re: Terrible morning anxiru
I'm now using data- capable machine ResMed VPAP auto. I neglected to mention that I have had these symptoms ever since I can remember (at least age 10) so I know hat it is not a side effect of any medication. I have had a complete cardiac workup and cardiologist said my heart is fine. Just wondering...

Terrible morning anxiru
I have been on cpap/bipap for a year now and it's working well However, at least half of my mornings are terrible. I wake with a heavy, tight feeling on my chest. I am not anxious about anything but it feels like anxiety. It makes me feel miserable and it's hard to engage or focus on anything. Nothi...

Still wake up every 2 hours
I've been on CPAP for 10 months now. While my energy level is better than it was, I'm still waking up every 1.5 to 2 hours all night long. Sometimes I'm covered in sweat, sometimes not. I'm on Prempro hormones for many years and obGYN says the sweats are NOT menopause. So today the sleep doctor didn...

Re: Why do we need a prescription for a face mask?
Easybreathe.com will sell you a mask. They show you how to get around the need for a script by buying the mask and headgear separately; that way it's considered 'parts'.

Loving my new mask; silly DME!
I just started using the ResMed Nano for Her. Loving it!! I was using the Wisp mask and kept waking up all night long to burbling sounds, and not getting very good sleep. My DME said 'I don't know what else to tell you, go back to your doctor". From reading this forum, I found out that the Wisp is s...

Mask Trouble
I've been struggling with the Wisp mask since I started CPAP in September. Initially it was tolerable (I was so tired, anything was an improvement). However it's definitely leaking. I know this due to all the burbling sounds it makes, and poor sleep quality. I am stuck with a "BRICK' machine so I ha...

Night Sweats
Anyone else get night sweats?? I have had them for 15 years. I've been treated with hormone therapy, thinking it was menopause related. Didn't help at all even after 3 GYNs telling me they had done all they could. I have had a full cardio work up, all fine. I have been seeing an excellent psychiatri...

Re: Poor DME care; how should I approach the doctor?
Just got off the phone with my DME, Apnea Care, wanting to know what my options are for getting a better machine. They told me that 1. Even though the script isn't written for a particular machine, I would need a new script to specify 'autotitratoon machine' in order to get a better model, and then ...

Poor DME care; how should I approach the doctor?
Hi, I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea Sept 2014. For CPAP< the Sleep Medicine doctor sent me right across the hall to Apnea Care, which at the time I didn't understand was a DME as it looked like part of the Sleep Medicine Center. The respiratory therapist there gave me a ResMed Escape CP...
