Re: obtaining cpap rx from Kaiser

Anybody have any suggestions for shaking loose a prescription for such a machine from Kaiser? As mentioned to should request your equipment order (and a copy of your sleep study) in writing - but request it from both Kaiser and Apria, they both have it. Since Open Enrollment is coming is a few week...

Re: Did you get your flu vaccine?

My wife and I got our flu shots at the same time, a couple weeks ago. Interestingly, she said it was the most painful flu shot she had gotten, whereas I didn't even feel the needle. Pure chance, hit a nerve or something in her and missed everything for me. IMO its the way the person gets injected -...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

There's almost no legitimate reason to lower the maximum pressure, unless you're having aerophagia (air swallowing), then there's really no reason to limit the max pressure. aerophagia is one reason. I think another is that docs (and others who know) want the *new* patient and their body to adjust ...

Re: Alternatives to OSCAR

While I wait for the Airsense 11 compatible version of OSCAR, is there an alternative that I can use in the meantime? While I don't have an 11 - IF Resmed retained any of the features from the 10 you will have data displayed on the screen under "Sleep Report" right after turning the cpap off. That ...

Re: Airsense 11 and 12 volt Adapter

Thank you everyone! I agree, why does Resmed keep changing the AC plugs?? Why do laptop vendors keep changing the AC plugs? The plug for the S9, ick. Air 10? like newer laptops Air 11? like newest laptops. A Fair comparison... https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dcomputers&fie...

Re: Philips Dreamstation 2 need help (asap)

We using DS2 for delivering oxygen to patient. Problem is that it has this "auto on/off" feature on, which making therapy useless because we need constant pressure. How to turn off this feature? Always write down ALL of your settings before changing even one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6KXUil...

Re: Closed MRI

When I've had an MRI they ask what kind of music and give you headphones. I've had a dental procedure where I had No Recall but the doc said I was able to follow his directions - it was Versed I think. IMO an MRI is so much better than what they used to do - "Exploratory Surgery" - cut you open just...

The person on the phone wasn't aware of what OSCAR was and I'm not sure they knew you could read data from an SD card. I wonder if that is why they told me 'no' on the phone.
I feel sure they have no idea what Oscar is and likely don't want to know.

Follow Pugsys lead and you will do fine.

Re: cleaning routine

Whatever you do avoid - as in stay away from - any and ALL Ozone Cleaners as the only thing they clean are wallets. I found this on the Resmed site: In a sink or tub, clean your mask cushion and headgear to remove any oils. Gently rub with soap and warm, drinking-quality water...Rinse again thorough...

This is by no means the best video but should get you started.
Make note of ALL your settings before changing any.
