Re: Battery Backup solution for Resmed S9 with H5i
Self discharge on these is pretty minimal which I like very much. I've not had to try but I understand they are not good in cold temperatures. Since I live indoors for our northeast winters should be OK :) They all seem to be rated for many times the number of cycles than other chemistries which I g...

Re: Battery Backup solution for Resmed S9 with H5i
Make sure it's a deep cycle battery. Regular car/motorcycle batteries aren't designed to be discharged too far. The deep cycle will let you discharge it almost completely and recharge with a battery tender or charger and still be OK. If by "Regular car/motorcycle batteries" you mean a flooded lead ...

Re: My Resmed Airsense 10 Did Not Come With An SD Card, What Should I Buy?
In this scenario my DME is the zip lock sandwich baggie in my drawer with a few dozen defunct memory devices stored in it. Sadly these Resmed machines don't work with 256MB Compact Flash cards - who knew?

Re: SD card . Do I need?
Thanks, I can't get it to start up past the message that no SD card is detected. I wonder if this is something that Lincare programmed in. And if I can turn it off? Hmmm. I recently had my printer stop printing because it detected low toner. Of course there's toner left so I had to track down the s...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
Anyone get anything from this settlement yet? I went ahead and set up Zelle which supposedly allows faster payment. Nothing. It isn't 100% clear, but it appears payments will be made after August of this year. There are some fixed amounts like the "incentive" payment to return a recalled machine th...

Re: Philips Data Breach
They only need to hit on a tiny percentage of people who fall for it in order for it to remain profitable for them. Thus it will never end. Lock down your credit profiles with Experian, Equifax, Transunion, and don't forget Innovis. Then lock down your CHEX Systems profile information. And maybe sig...

Re: Philips Data Breach
I received the same letter from Philips. At first, I thought that it had something to do with the payout on the recalled machines. but no, another screw up related to Philips. Imagine that? This one does not appear to be on Philips, unless they failed to patch things up after this third party softw...

Re: oscar download apneaboard and ads
If those guys subscribe to that ad service it's unlikely they will have much control if any over the content that shows up in such ads. Maybe not even the placement of them for that matter. Since they are funding the site with those ads it's probably not practical to *not* have them. After all it's ...

Re: Freedom V2 battery
Battery failure one week, ice storm bringing power failure the next. Three nights without CPAP, and I'm surprised at how well I can sleep. Spouse is out of town, so no feedback on snoring. I might remain battery-less. Full disclosure here, I've never relied on the V2 alone for backup power, it's ex...

Re: Apneaboard vs cpaptalk
The box with the green "Start" button and the one at the bottom that says "Activate your account" are ads. You can see the little ad buttons in the upper right of each of those elements. Shady looking ads but ads nonetheless. good eye! i didn't see it until you pointed it out. I think it was source...

I'm not seeing it over there - wondering if you have some kind of malware on your machine causing extra crap to show up in the browser? Do you see anything similar on other sites by any chance?

Good news for sure. Mine I was not so lucky and since I was on my spare I ordered to have a new spare on hand. I suggest to have one around if possible for when luck runs out

Re: Replacing Airsense 10 power supply
I got two of these to replace a Resmed "original" about a year ago, one to use and one spare for the next time I fry one. No complaints so far, they seem OK. Hard to tell these days what's real OEM and what's a knockoff since the knockoffs are often quite good. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C...
